there are U.N resolutions stating the immediate withdrawal from southern lebanon, they are defying U.N resolutions, Israel is stating that Shebaa is part of Syrian territory, which is bull shit because i come from that town, and everyone there has Lebanese citizenship, not Syrian. Sure my family had land in the golan, which was confiscated, but shebaa is lebanese territory, and hezbollah has stated, a million times, get out of the remaining occupied lands, and there wont be a reason for hezbollah to exist.

But israel will never leave that area due to it being rich in fresh water, and mineral deposits. So the shit will continue.

It said Hizbullah's main security compound in southern Beirut had been among targets hit on Friday. Reuters reporters said they could see no sign of damage at the site.

Israeli warplanes also attacked the Jiyyeh power plant, south of Beirut and fuel tanks at the capital's international airport, Air raids struck several mobile telephone relay stations in eastern Lebanon.

Israel on Thursday said that Hizbullah, Hamas, Syria and Iran belong to the "axis of terror and hate." Although they did not add Lebanon to their list, Israel holds Lebanon responsible for the actions of Hizbullah.

The violence in Lebanon coincided with an Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip launched last month to try to retrieve another captured soldier and halt Palestinian rocket fire.

The crisis has helped drive world oil prices to record high 78 dollar a barrel and has shaken financial markets in Israel and Lebanon, and the rest of the Middle East.

Syria's ambassador to the United States said Washington should restrain Israel and push for renewed peace talks. The European Union and Russia have criticized Israel's strikes in Lebanon as disproportionate.

Israeli Justice Minister Haim Ramon, when asked about the scale of the attacks on Lebanon, said his country was acting just as Russia did against the Chechens and the United States did against al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan.

The Lebanese government urged the U.N. Security Council to adopt a resolution calling for a ceasefire and an end to Israeli attacks on its territory. The U.N. Security Council is planning to hold an urgent meeting on Friday to discuss the escalating violence in Lebanon and Israel. Arab foreign ministers will meet in Cairo on Saturday.

Israel has one of the best military in the world after china, russia and the states. not to mention the best airforce in the world which rates at 27 to 1 against a US pilot (this means an Israeli pilot could take down 27 US pilots before going down himself)é

Plus, I am not too sure where I heard it, but today in the news they said that Israel has run up 75% of their missiles... I dunno...

well according to the states they have the best pilotes , so all that info is biased . do u really think that if the states can lose in vietnam and russian in afghanistan u can win ? gimme a break, military power is nothing against gorilla warfar.

if shit hits the fan isreal will not only be fighting 1 contry it will be all of them and i garantee u , u will lose.

1 more thing , last i heard maybe 2 years ago or so , 1 american nuclear sub has more firepower than the entire israeli military so gimme a break.

another thing when israel faught the 6 day war it was a convientional war not the same as gorilla warfare

Im not taking sides nor think anything good of this but Isreal is more than capable of the same type of warfare. this is not USA in Vietnam..plus your facts regarding the firepower of Isreal is wrong. who do you think supplies them with their arms?

Israel now has three nuclear submarines, one armed with nukes.
and the states and russia losing in vietnam was conventional warfare
