I really like the new lancer, much better than the old one and on top of it the "good" motor comes in the base model now.:)

As much as I like the mazda 3 and civic this might be a better option for someone that doesn't want to be driving the same car as everyone else.

You are so wrong. They are on the road.... they haven't produced many but they sold them all.

The Base Ion has a 2.2L at 145HP and cost 15Gs
The Ion3 has a 2.4L at 170HP and cost 18Gs
The Ion Red Line has a 2.0L T at 210HP and cost 21Gs
The Aura has a V6 3.6L at 252HP and its the car of the year 2007 for 24Gs

My point being, the look of the Mitsu is amazing! Really! I love it, but there's many underestimated car out there that could compete with it for a similar price.

Probably the best looking one under 25Gs as well!

Will be out in the 4th quarter 2007 after the EVO XI comes out in June-July

i read the EVO will on be out early 08?

and for an economy car, the Lancer is a really nice car.

Im just itching to see the evo model in person. hopefully try one out too.
 
Watered down or not, that Evo X still looks sick. When I first saw pics of the new redesign, I was telling my girlfriend that when we graduate and get married and all that crap, we'll have twin Lancers; I'll have an Evo X, and she'll have a base Lancer. :p Nice little 4-doors, which I don't think I would need to trade-in/sell once we decide to first have children. Let's just hope that the Evo X stays quite affordable...
 
I also read that the rally art will be four wheel drive like the evo. It will be a car i would really consider beying, depending of the difference between the evo X and the rally art.
