It works for me.

Sad to say but... works for me too.. lol

and I have to add this: People say that, if you want to loose weight, the best way is to do cardio workout...

What people should know is that cardio workout will make you loose more fat than weight training DURING that training period BUT, weight training will make you gain more muscle which in turn, will make your metabolism work harder and faster during the day which will lead to more fat loss OUTSIDE the workout period.

I've never ever done any cardio during the last 10 years, never took any training drugs and I succesfully got my fat % lower than 4 once !!! only with a little diet (nothing hard like no carbs diet.. just a regular no fat diet)...

So, just do a mix of what you like and keep moving !! :)

The basic rule is to make sure you expend more calories than you intake. If I remember correctly, 1000kcals = 1 pound, and for weight loss, you should aim to consume (or expend) 500 cals less per day, which is why the healthy amount of weight to burn per week is about 2-3lbs.

3500 calories = 1 pound of fat.

as for trying to lose weight... do what I have... stop eating garbage and eat for nutrition, not for that 'full' feeling. also doing weightlifting will help you overall much more, you're doing cardio at the same time as weightlifting... and someone else said it also boosts your metabolism wich is true, the more muscle you have the faster it burns fat.

try to incorporate swimming in your cardio workout..
swimming is a good all body cardio workout and it's a "no"impact" sport.. therefore, you don't have to worry about the stress your knees/ankle goes thru with treadmill workouts...

I do a mix of all.. cardio + weight training and just recently started to incorporate swiming into my workout routine..

or like Wadd said... no pop, fruit juice.. go for some plain ol H2O ;)

but definately watching what you eat and frequency helps..
like they say , instead of 3 meals a day, break it down to 6 smaller meals..
