Any scrapyard with 01-05 civic(s) ??

i know for sure that honda scrapyard in south shore would have, but they are a bit pricey....anyone know of any closer to the west island that would have?

i have a 02 civic automatic, and im beyond fed up with driving auto. i think its time to *attempt* a manual swap and rather than piece together various parts from the net, id rather just have a car i can take all the parts off of 1 time.

any help is appreciated
 
ca serait un move stupide a moins que tu soit vraiement mais vraiement en amour avec ta voiture et que tu as investi beaucoup d'argent dessus... et encore la...

01-05 are rare to find at scrapyard cause most of them are still on the road so it's normal parts will cost more then previous model!

And if you find the parts pricey wait till you see how much the labour is gonna cost you unless you where planning on doing it yourself !

Auto to manual swap is a lot of job and you got to make sure to have all the parts you need before you start the swap tranny, axel, shift linkage, piping etc !

Selling your car and buy a manual still the best option IMO if you have no experience in mecanic but if you have good knowledge about the swap and free time on your hand i say go for it ! It's gonna be a fun experience for you !

pour avoir faite le swap c'est pas si dure que sa comme tout le monde dise. Moi sur ma voiture sa prit

le plus dure dans tout sa c'est la criss de pédal vue que moi les trou n'étais pas préfaite....sinon pour la tranny c'est comme changer une clutch en gros

pis pour le fillage moi j'ai été voir robin almasy et sa ma couté 80$ donc au total sa m'a couter 1000$ (le prix de mon parts car + fillage de robin) mais j'ai vendu des pieces de la voiture alors sa l'a diminuer le prix et le temps ben c'est moi qui l'a faite sur une base de 3 mois ( j'étais en stage de cégep + je travaillais donc 60h c'est pour sa que sa prit tant de temps ) mais sinon le refaire sa prendrais je dirais 1-2 sem a temps perdu vraiment. Et j'ai apris ma mécanique en gros comme sa!

C'est peut-être pas dur pour toi mais ca veux pas dire que c'est facile pour tout le monde !

Et il te manque pas mal de morceau dans ta liste d'épicerie !
 
passe une commande aupres de quelqu'un et swap le numero de serie
ca doit pas etre dur trouver un voleur de honda :)

desole mais je ne peux pas m'empecher et j'ai moi meme ete victime de vol de vehicule populaire

Might have been the shop's install or just the problems of my overheating coolant woes, but well I cannot guarantee the TCI kit would solve all his automatic problems. Worked yes, but with a turbo kit - not sure if it would last long. But whatever, do know that the transmission is currently going to be get with the scrap..when I eventually do that.
 
It's about time Shane Lol, the first ting you gottah take a look at with EM2 used Trannies are the bearings (Input shaft especially). Good luck with your swap bro. :bigup:
