Intermittent downtime

I noticed intermittent downtime today. I removed the plugin which manages our Search engine optimization,

subdomains are not working since .htaccess has been disabled, as a result, forums.montrealracing.com will not resolve, you must go to www.montrealracing.com/forums.

this is only temporary till I figure out whats going on.
 
A NAME records for forums were edited. they have been editied back, and everythign should start working again in 20 minutes after they resolve.

the server is a LOT faster then before. there was serious hardware failure, nd as such we are running on a backup server.
