mine shit the bed this past week, I never realized how bloody handy the big ones are, now i'm back to having 4 little dinky ones that only go up half way..

i'd return it since its only 4 months old, but it has physical damage from a mishap..

okay i tried to fill it up with jack oil.
i removed the allen bolt and pushed the plunger all the way down.
while it was going down i could see air bubbles coming out.
i did it some more time until no air bubbles and filled in the jack oil.
now it still only jacks up halfway and pumping it more does not increase the lift at all.

this is pretty sucky as i need to use the jack

its probably your oil seal thats leak trought. My uncle pass at least 2 to 3 per year ( he does a lot of mecanic in is garage at leat 2-3 cars per night) and said if changing the seal the jack will die soon after againt and again...the seal is worth like 10$ but it wont last long but you can trie.

so caca tire actually sells the seal? I didnt think they would..

gonna go check that out
if not i'm sure i can find an o-ring somewhere

The damn jack pumps okay for the first 5-7 times and after you are pumping with no movement afterwards.

So you only get like half of the jacks maximum lift and every additional pump after does nothing or very minimal.

I think it is the seal where you compress the oil into the cylinder or something.

anyone know?

anyone know a place that repairs these things? I'm not really looking on buying a new jack to use it like 20 times during the whole year.
