It takes ford a supercharger to be even wtih a gm na car,you houuu ford wake up tab...

the ford mustang looks better but as always (except from 85 to 92) gm will be faster....

well up until the new shelby 5.4 supercharged the motor used was a 4.6 and a 4.6 32v supercharged and chevy had a 5.7 na. personally i would take any mustang over any gm except the 69 camaro and the corvettes all years.

it took GM all these years to finally produce 300hp on a v6 when the japs and euro been doing that forever. its not something to be proud of in my opinion.

personally i would take a shelby over the camaro, alot more fun and agressive looking

yuck!! :uke:
great way to ruin a sexy ride *td*

what 300hp V6 engines have the Japanese been making "forever"? Please enlighten me.

not when ford comes out with the ecoboost mustangs

Fords entire "ecoboost" marketing is lame... Turbo technology isn't anything new. The Japanese and Europeans have been boosting small displacement motors for years...

Regardless the engine will still producethe same HP and torque curves so your argument isn't relevant. Even if Ford put a 300hp Ecoboost 2.3L 4 banger in the Mustang it would have to shed some weight.

Cars are too heavy today. There is no reason why the Camaro needs to weigh 3800lbs and the Charger 4000+

x2...

What the heck are you talking about?

Japs had 300hp out of V6 or inline 6 twin turbos not N/A. So please STFU. Please name me another car that produces 300hp out of N/A V6 or I6....

NSX had close to 300hp N/A when it came out.

BMW got between 315-340hp from either a 3.4 or 3.8L I6 in the E34 M5 :) The Europeans do it better.

guys please im not trying to start an american vs jap story here, io wn'd an sti and own a ram air trans am so i am not leaning towards one side or the other.

ok most japs had turbos but what about the TL engine its not quite 300 but close, the 350Z etc
not to mention all the 4cyl turbo engines

im not trying to say its crap but its not anything speacial if you ask me.

the 3 american companies are hemoraging money out of there asses and there solution is to bring back gas guzzlers, sure they appeal to alot of people but they will not hold up the company.

all i am saying is that i find GM cars cheap, my ram air has almost the same interior as a sunfire but cost $50G's brand new. other than the corvette what other car does GM has that is even worth comparing to its japanese counterpart.

at least the mustang has been around forever and has been racking in profits.

why did GM stop producing the firebird and camaro huh? remember the 6.6 400ci motor with barely 200hp, please....

so before you tell me to STFU in true fanboy fashion please take a second to understand what i am saying and do a little research

The Euro E34 M5 engine is probably the best inline 6 I have ever driven.

You are absolutely correct, Europeans do it better but BMW is top notch on engine power. They never make false claims, even with lower HP ratings their engines pull stronger than anyone elses.

There is no better engine-tranny setup than BMW.
