steak frite, tokyo, The keg, The one under l'hotel Nelligan. Those are the ones I remember going to and liking.

Oh and, she won't shine your rocket.

realy ? whatever i dont need something TOO romantic either but other ideas are more then welcomed
 
Well it's dimmed lighting and candles I believe but there aren't 8 forks next to your plate. It's a nice "in-between".

For full blown romance: The restaurant under l'hotel Nelligan.

^^ 777 de la commune ouest (Old-Port) very good restaurant, renowned meatballs but not under 40$ each

Very nice setting (coblestone-ish walls and candles, the building was the first women prison in Montreal)
