'' elle me répond INDIAN !! INDIAN !!

common la , un effort , comment immigration Canada justifie le fait de laisser rentrer quelqu'un qui ne parle pas aucune des 2 langues officielles ?

try this one...
everyone SPEAK their own language..
by there own language I mean.. either english or french..
which ever you prefer.
NOW.. when you speak to someone the opposite, your
forced to understand what there saying to you, but
you may then reply in your own language.
If people could get rid of that.. "oh you need to speak MY
language" bullcrap.
This could work. Ive seen it happen around a few times,
and I personally think its just amazing.

what say ye?

Je suis d'accord. Je l'ai fais souvent et ca marche la plupart du temps.

À moins que ce soit un touriste...

Personal Note: I understand everything that I read here. I just have trouble speaking. Maybe the whole talk in your own language (E or F) could work.

Immigrant Note: I believe that's the government trying to compensate the mass migration to other provinces from Quebec by recruiting immigrants from 3rd world countries. Think about it, it is possible that the Quebec government is so corrupt because of the immigrants. They come from places much worse off generally and really do not participate in elections. All those who truly cared may have given up and began moving out.

Government Experience: I recently spoke with a government official. This is how the convo went. I was at work (minimum wage pre career job for now).
-Him (with a smirk): I am getting paid 85 dollars per hour right now.
-Me: That's a lot of money.
-Him (Smiling): Yeah and after 5pm, it jumps 175.00 percent, and after midnight (some other ridiculous percent).
-Me: Honestly, thats a huge rip-off. Thats our money going to your wage.
-Him: But if you get sick, you will be glad I am here for you.

This is how bad its getting: Politicians will tell minimum wage employees, while smiling, that they are getting paid that much while fully knowing how much we are taxed.

In my books they are both raterded;

I am sure you know what I mean.

Good article!

The plateau has a distinct culture, and those ontarians who think theyre cool living there annoy me too.

If you live in Quebec, you should speak both French and English, period, regardless of your political orientation.

Quebec is a province part of Canada, we have the right to speak both!

i dont see how you live in quebec and cant read write and speak both languages

learn them both, youll only look smarter and youll have access to a lot more ressources in life

i learned friend, why cant your brother jean-guy labrouillard learn english???

I understand the ignorant people who refuse try and learn should be flamed BUT what about those who have difficulty learning languages. Languages is just like math, science, and art - not everyone can be good at each one. My personal experience is that I have lived here my whole life, I have passed through immersion in high school, medium level French in college and I am STILL uncomfortable speaking and writing French, does this make me one of those ignorant people? The answer isn't always the straight forward "He's an idiot for not knowing a language".

I appreciate languages fully, I make full attempts in communicating efficiently with others in other languages - they usually notice my difficulties and we revert to an english/french conversation.

I just hope we all realize that learning a language isn't just practice makes perfect, there is also other factors involved. For those who are capable of mastering multiple languages congrats to you but I can calculate Bernoulli's equation at an unsteady state - you can't? You must be an ignorant dick - see how that works...
Not the best example but nevertheless languages are not always a person's best subject.
