why would selling drugs be any worse than casinos, shopping malls etc??

Casinos create addiction to gambling (as far as I know...loto quebec isn't raided by the police)
Shopping malls create addictions also...a shitload of people spend way over their means... they're addicted to buying stuff...so? I don't see the police raiding shopping malls...
