2011 Ford Mustang V6 EPA certification just finished and, though Ford predicted 30MPG from their 305HP 3.7-liter V6, they actually got 31. According to Ford, it's the first 300HP+ car ever to return over 30MPG. Having cake, eating it too.

what kind of grandmother-like driving style do you have to acquire to achieve 30mpg? that is the question.
 
is this mixed or hwy only? if mixed, then what darkestfenix said x100, this is just impossible to achieve on a daily basis in a 3400 lb 300hp car! That's 7.6L/100km, I get 8.0L/100km in my Sentra for fucks sakes, and that's only when I drive slow! wtf?!

La certification est la même pour n'importe qu'elle voiture alors la référence est très valide. Même si elle affiche 31 MPG, elle ne la fera pas dans la vraie vie mais comparée à une voiture qui affiche 27 MPG, elle reste plus économique.

Ce qui fait chier les propriétaires de Mustang actuelle, c'est que la Mustang V6 2011 est aussi forte que la GT 2010.

Premièrement, elle est pas twin turbo et deuxièmement, personne dénigre la Mustang. Ils font simplement dire que le 31MPG est une vrai joke. Comme Twon dit, si tous les voitures sur le marché sont soumises au même test, même si le résultat est loin de la réalité, la base de comparaison est la même et donc valide.

Exactement, c'est un très bel effort et ca va permettre à plusieurs personnes de conduire une V6 comme daily driver à la place d'une GT seulement la fin de semaine.:)
 
plus le v8 302.2 5.0l de 407 Hp

qui me fait bander dure.

mais c impressionent ses chivre
sa demolie toute les effors de Chevrelet avec leur modit camaro.
 
yes, 31mpg if you are constantly travelling at 100km/h with no wind and no hills. lol.

Anyways, to get 12.4L/100km in the city with 305hp on tap is actually quite decent. Lots of 200-220hp cars get worse than that in the city.

Every car from toyota to honda to gm and ford go through the same type of driving to compare MPG's.

This Mustang will get as close to 31 as a Camry will get to whatever its EPA rating is.


The turbo thing turned out to be a rumor. So far only the Taurus SHO, Flex and MKS get the 3.7L EcoBoost motor.

Justement 98% des voitures evalues ne font pas ou a peu pres pas les chiffres annonces. C'est a peu pres pas reproduisable comme conditions.

Personne deteste Ford, ca n'a rien a voir avec recaler une marque en tant que tel on s'en fout de la marque. C'est juste des chiffres irrealiste.
 
je ne comprend pas ce qu'ils ont fait de si SPECIAL la 370Z fait 38mpg hyway et 25mpg ville je dirais plustot qu'ils ont accoter ou presque ce que nissan fait

entk la mustang 2011..chapeau!!!!!! elle va etre la mieu réussie des coupé sport americains.. elle est tres belle et avec 2 moteurs interessant!!!je prendrais sa anytime ,bien avant une camaro ou une challenger...les mustang v6 ont jamais eu la cotes avant et elle étais pas tellement vendue,mais maintenant sa risque de changé,plus puissante que la 4.6 actuelle lol.....ok p-e la consommation sera pas comme celle mentionnée,mais je suis sur qu'elle risque d'etre quand meme pas trop gourmande pour la puissance qu'elle va avoir
