The Orangeball Rally left the Orange Julep this morning for the long drive down to New Jersey to attend every Vbdubber's dream car show: Waterfest. We got there early to take some photos and talk with Rick (Sandro_bit on the forum) who has been the event organizer since he started the rally three years ago. Rick has managed to get many corporate sponsors to create a nice goodie bag for the participants and maximize the return for their $40 registration fee. Upon arriving to the Julep, drivers go to the tent in the parking lot to receive their goods which include a sticker, t-shirts, poster, magazine, a free sandwich etc. The goal is to get all fifty cars to leave on time for the long drive ahead. Having done this several times before, Rick managed the situation well and in the end it went off without a hitch.
