My car was in storage for 1 year, so i want to know how do i discharge or charge the capacitors when i reconnect the battery. They told me to use a test light? how? They have told me when u don't have your battery connected and u have a sound system with capacitors you need to discharge or charged something like that.

12v wire -> light bulb -> capacitor

or just plug it but be prepared for epic sparks

hahaha I disscharged a 1farad inside a future shop years ago with a straight wire. While walking, the wire from the negative terminal came into contact with the +. I think everyone in the store saw white for a few seconds. It was epic indeed :run::bigup:

haha yeah basically you use a 12V light bulb with two leads on it and you connect the positive to your battery line and the negative to the capacitor positive and wait for the light to go out. :) If you have a 10 farad cap like I used to, then you really can't just "plug it in" lol, melts shit.

wtf 10 farads!? Where you doing sound competition? Usually for 1-2 subs a 1 farad is enough. Depends on your setup I guess.
