Bieber Named Artist of the Year !

Either music is going down hill or this little guy is gifted !

He wins all four American Music Awards that he was nominated in making him the youngest artist ever to win it all !

I am happy for him, will he be our next Paul Anka, only time will tell !

 
As an artist and not a fan of his music I think it's well-deserved. He went from obscurity to worldwide gigantic fame. Say what you want about his music but he did it all..in less than a year
 
If you look over 60 years, Anka is the man to beat, he is in his 70's and still going strong !
In his time Canadians never recognized how great our own artists were and they had to work 10 times harder to get fame.

It's hard to deny what the industry has become when a 16 year old is at the top of it all. Money drives all.

Money & Marketing...it's all about short-term success.

When is the last time a "good real band" came around??? I can't even remember...

Arcade Fire is the perfect exemple of a "real good Band". No money and marketing, just talent. They got popular cause U2 choose them for their "avant-spectacle"

I know their not from this year, but their not an old band either

Right, forgot about that after his victory round last night in the glitzy US music scene, he comes back to Canadian soil for his first show, I know he'll visit a Timmy's the first chance he gets !

It is also a snub to the Canadian music scene that nominated him for 4 Junos last spring, but won none. This is always the problem with the Canadian side of things, our artists are inclined to make it big elsewhere like Paul Anka, Brian Adams, Celine Dion etc...
