My trip to Chile - a few pictures **15 new pics on page 3**

Hey thanks again errbody for the nice words!!

If you went for 3 weeks though, why did you have to take the plane so much. Seems like you would of had enough time to drive, no? (I know the geography of Chile, I don't know much about their road infrastructure though)

Can you give more details about the hostage situation in Patagonia

Well, Chile is a very very long country (very narrow also as you prob know).. Since we wanted to visit about 6 different cities and you land right in the middle of the country (Santiago), it's very very hard to see that much stuff if you only travel by bus.

Also, the national flights are very cheap with Sky Airline. We travelled for 20 days and it was a crazy, uber tight schedule, it reminded me of the amazing race seriously!

As for the strike in Patagonia, here's briefly what happened:

When I came back I was interviewed by CBC, LCN and RDI lol

We basically got stuck for the last week of our trip, we were stuck in a shitty little town, missed our connection flight and our flight back to Canada..

very nice pics! is the shallow DOF in #2 and #4 done with the 85 f/1.2?

No, this is all done with the 45mm TS lens (the one I'm selling now cuz I'm broke)....
It's my favorite lens but I only use it for fun, not really for my business so it has to go!
I will buy it again as soon as I get back on my feet..

Superbes photos ! *tu**tu*

Del Paine ... T'a fait du Trekking ? ... Del Paine Wow .... Patagonia ... Wow !!!!!

thanks man!

I really didn't expect this!

I did the best I could but it's a very very hard lens to use and I bought it less than 1 month before my trip..

With this lens you have to shoot in manual setting and your lightmeter doesn't work! It's also manual focus so it's like shooting with a camera from 1950. lol

ahh man i miss seeing the Andes mountains, things you don't realize as you grow up because they always been there lol. No matter where you are in the city you are always able to see them.

Great pics!

Breathtaking pictures! I wish I had that equipment during my travels, then again it must have been some what of a burden to carry around.

Amazing!

Sick shots as always.. That pick of the stars and sand dune makes my head spin, still have no idea how you did that. All in all, too many to comment on.. Serious skills indeed

yes, it's a real PITA to carry around 15k$ in equipment wherever you go.. Also, when doing the trekking, I was carrying a 15+kg backpack + my camera bag that was close to 10kg.. I almost died.
