Extreme Couponing

I watched this show the other day... Crazy couple stayed 6 hours in the supermarket and called like 8 friends in the end to have their coupons honored (X max/person). They did come up with something like $6 instead of 600$ but yeah... not worth it IMHO.

I watched it the other day

I could understand that a big fat stupid American will do that ... I just can't believe they could have a 1000$ in items that would cost them like 20$ ... why the stores and compagnies don't put limits in that non-sense...

thats amazing is trhat america only any candadian cases?

rebate on coupons in Canada are not as generous as they are in the states don't know why but here something like a $3 coupons on $16 of dog food is like a big rebate while in USA a coupon for free item if you buy one is like normal

We dont have that simply because we arent a big enough market to market as aggresively as the US, based simply on the size of our population. Factor in the fact that theres only 1 store in canada that allows cupon stacking, and you end up with what we have :\.

It's pretty fucking intense to hear about a $600 grocery order for only SIX fucking dollars... I don't understand how this is even possible, even with coupon stacking, how do you bring $600 down to $6?

It's like having a fucking video game cheat for RL lol. I'd rob this mother fucker of his bathroom products alone, body washes for free? Fuck paying $5-6 a bottle.

it's insane, but this show might make companies put a stop to the "No-limit".

come on, 1000 tubes of toothpaste! I know you might use them in yoru lifetime, but in 50 years, in 2061, do you really want toothpaste from 2011?

It would be very funny to go to Plattsburgh, do a 6-700$ grocery for 10$ after coupons, then come back to customs and declare it. I would love to see their reaction.

If you listen carefully..you'll see it's all low price items.
with coupon up to 1$.

BUT in many store in the US they double and tripple your coupon value.
They go buy the stuff when and only when they are on sale.
So big sale rebate + tripple coupon = a couple cents per items.

it's as simple as that.

But listen again and you'll see it only on boxed items like soap, deodorant, toothpaste and such. very rare to see actual food (except for cereals)

it's a way of life as they said...

IMO it's can be worth it..but some are just out of their mind. rebate always come back every 3 month or so....no need to stack over and over (like 1000 toothpaste tube..lol)
Don't forget..most of them buy 10's of newspaper to have the coupon they "need" and end up costing them 2000$ a year in newspaper.

PS.: all the coupon they have are manufacturer coupon...you can have the same here...but forget the double-tripple coupon value at the store....yes you can joined a manufacturer coupon with a store sale anytimes.
and quantities are not really limited here either.
It's just not worth it (without the double-tripple coupon value) here.

i think they make money of it ,some of them do a grocery store in their garage and people come and have better price than regular...

Well if the dude in the second video doesnt sell stuff on the side, it's just gonna go bad. Food will get freezer burn or past due.... and wtf you going to do with so much body soap and lotion.

rediculous.

can't see the vid here..but I'm pretty sure which one you're talking about.
This guy buy stuff to donate to his church and to help other with less means...(familly of soldier etc etc etc)

i watched the show last and the dude with 1000 toothpaste tube is an army guy and gives all his excess as donations so its not that bad. but its mind boggling seeing 300$+ dollars bills come up under 10$
