New brunswick beach and warm water

And the water feels colder than the St-Lawrence river in April.

Just a heads up for people who want to go to NB, it's great for camping, kayaking, biking, sightseeing, etc, but don't go there for warm water and beaches, all the ad campaigns are pure BS.
 
Dans mes souvenirs, l'eau était quand même chaude mais ça reste l'océan. La plage était magnifique avec le surplomb de terre rouge, quand même impressionnant. Quelle plage et quand es-tu allé?
 
Ça ressemble à une des plage familiale pas entretenue.
Les plage public sont pas du tout dans cet état ça dépend vraiment ou tu va.

Je suis Acadien d'origine, dans la famille on à un 500m de plage qui est à nous, chaque année mes oncles en début de saison se tapais un méga nettoyage pour qu'on puisse en profiter tout l'été. Depuis quelques année vue que tout le monde à vieille il on pas mal cessé de faire l'entretien et ça ressemble pas mal à ta photo.

Par exemple la plage public à 1 km plus loin est clean clean clean, j'y suis encore allé en Octobre pour un anniversaire et suis aller marcher sur la plage avec ma femme.

Pour ce qui est de la température dans ma jeunesse c'était correct on s'amusais en masse etk.... mais c'est clair faut pas s'attendre au eau des Caraïbes.
 
The one at Kouchibouguac was nasty, water was freezing, even in the lagoon. I figured it should've been one of the nicest ones since it's in a National Park.

We stopped by a few in Acadie and they were all dirty.

The nicest one was between Fundy bay and Cap Enragé, it was miles long, impeccably clean (thanks to the tides), but you can't really swim because the tides are too strong, and the water is freezing. It was very pittoresque though.

When I was a kid, my parents really wanted us to go with them to New Brunswick.. 2 things that I remember from New Brunswick are: COLD ASS WATER and the HUMIDITY. THE END.

I'm sure that there are some hot spots, but i'm not willing to go all that way for some cold water.. nah un.

Edit: we also went to Fundy Bay.

Last minute memory... seeing how the beach was too cold, my mom suggested that we go to a near by pool.. I jumped in and swallowed a huge gulp of water... What I did not know until then, it was bloody SEA WATER.... :cry: Just thinking about it now and I gag.
 
Are you there RIGHT NOW ?

If so you picked the wrong time to go, it's sure cold as hell.
You go there between mid-July and mid-August that all! Before and after are worthless.
 
Bizarre, je me suis baigné dedans vla 2 ans et on était super bien avec une belle plage... c'était a Shediac.
 
Je suis allé voilà quelques années et plusieurs fois quand j'étais jeune avec mes parents. Je viens du bas-st-laurent, c'est moins loin.

Dans les coins comme Shediac les plages sont belles et la température pas si mal.

Le monde en général est super sympathique, pas très dure de se trouver des amis pour faire le party. D'ailleurs quand j'y retourne je suis invité a pêcher des homards, esssssti que je vais en manger.
 
i was in shediac last year, worst beaches ever lol. Dirty, cold and got stung by two jelly fish


still had amazing fun though, people of shediac are extremely nice and losbter EVERYday
 
sa depend des plage ya ink 2-3 spot que ces chaud le reste ces froid ... faut juste savoir ou allé ces tout ..
 
went last july with my ex gf, beach in shediac was awesome, 30c sunny day and water was warm. been there done that and will go back once or twice this summer
 
Shediac est vraiment belle.

J'y suis aller 5 ans quand j'était kid et j'y suis retourné en 2005 et l'eau était bonne et la plage tres belle.

Crissement mieux que Old Orchard en tk.(ok c'est pas la meilleur référence)

Ca reste que Shédiac est la place ou l'eau est la plus chaude au nord de la virginie. (courant marin)
 
Takes you 3 posts to mention the month, but ya ok. I was there in August too, swam 5 times and was around 85 degrees. Beach wasn't as manicured as the pics, but was as nice as a natural beach could be.
