Looking for a new MMO

I played WoW for the longest time, i'm over it. haven't played in a few months.
I'm thinking of trying a new MMO, i've played Lineage 2 before WoW, i liked it, but it was to much just grinding then anything else. I prefer PVE over PVP, but PVP can be fun too.
I don't usually play with an organized guild that setup events on certain dates, so something that i can play alone 80% of the time.

What do you guys recommend?
 
I am full of sun, I have a long list of activities i do every week, Bike,Baseball,karate, dog park, etc. anyways, not here to debate silly remarks.

Hmm,i like the idea of having a free trial too.
 
If you're not too obssesed with medieval genre a la wow style you should try eve online. Its a mmo really different from other mmos and there is a free trial too. Its not a kids game tho. Most people who play that game are adults past 30. I've got fed up with wow very quickly but eve is the only mmo iv been playing for years.
 
Rift = Great, still needs a ton of work in it.
Aion = Pure korean grind fest, if you don't like korean MMOs this is a no go from the beginning.
SWTOR = Comes out in the Q4 of 2011, production costs were above the 115m mark, therefore it must be between "good" and "epic", and if it really shines, it will be the first game that has enough of a fanbase to fuck with Blizzard's profits.
APB Reloaded = Like most G1 Games, it's a pay to win game where any smacktard that pulls out 30 bucks can dominate the game.
RoM = Great, yet Cash Shop is a must for endgame.
Allods = Cash Shop punishes non-paying players, and if you don't want to get fucked up in PvP by people 5-10 levels lower than you in endgame you will need to use the Cash Shop actively.

Conclusion:If you got money to spend on games such as APB, RoM, or Allods, then just go for Rift or Aion and enjoy full products for your money.

Rift is very good though, you will love the experience if you got enough patience to deeply learn the game.
 
I checked out Rift on youtube for game play, looks decent, seems to look a lot like WoW
i think i'll try that first! i have 7 days so i'll download the client tonight when i get home.
Eve has potential also

I triEd out wow but never really hit it off. But rift really caught my eye with the epic invasions throughout the land. Right now they have the world event where everyone from everywhere on the land you have to do this quest. From level 10 to 50 everyone participates in this epic event. The dungeons are very beautiful looking. Most of them anyways. Please buy from my trial so I can get my fire horse mount.
 
One thing that I like with eve is the fact that we are all on the same server which is 20 000 - 50 000 people daily on the same server, same world. I have no idea how they did this but its working.
