Well FCP just lost a couple customers today.... (bit long)

let me start by saying I never let anyone else drive or work on any of my cars, I don't trust anybody with them, especially a stranger mechanic. But this winter I was gonna put my winters on the mags that came with my cougar DD.

so instead of leaving my car up on jacks while I bring the tires to get mounted at the local shop, I decided to give mechanics a chance. and so I went to FCP, a place that everyone has been recommending for great service. I got in, got booked, waited for my turn, and brought the car + my friends truck carrying the winters into the back. The guy bringing the cars around clearly didn't know what he was doing (first indicator was nearly sliding into my car with an f250.. I was shitting bricks). With the front tires at the edge of the ramp inside, and the rears out in the snow, He decided the best way to get in was to floor it and do a 10 second burnout right infront of me :yikes:. Then he finally realized the proper way to enter (momentum). The first lift was too short to reach my frame rails, and the manager came in, told me they would put it on another lift, and told me to wait out front.

When I got to the front, he asked me what I was specifying to the mechanics. I told him the following:
- White stripe out
- lift from the frame rails, not the rockers, or the thin boxed section in-between
- Remove the stainless caps with something that wont scratch the mags
- When putting the caps back on, hit around the perimeter, NOT in the center. (convex caps)
He said he would tell the mechanics, it's no problem..


After what seemed like an eternity (probably only 45 minutes, but after seeing an old guy beat on my car, i was shaking, and pacing like crazy) they brought my car around front and I rushed out to make sure it survived. It was pretty dark, but i managed to see they put the white stripes on the outside like I asked. So I went in, payed the $50, and left, satisfied, and relieved that it was all OK.... Or was it?

Driving home, I started hearing a bit of creaking in the front over hard bumps. ( I figured it was probably just cold weather making the dash creak.... until today) When I got home, I noticed something. ALL 4 STAINLESS STEEL CAPS... Concave instead of convex. The retard mechanics the punched them on like who gives a fuck... Anyways, I sorted them out, no biggie but it shows a lack of respect. I also noticed the lack of anti-seize, but I kinda expected that. So after that I was kinda pissed.

Now, today it escalated to a whole new level of pissed. I brought my car to my friends shop to change the wheel bearings, and while it was jacked up, I noticed something...

You probably can't understand these pics, but basically what it looks like is they forced the lift passed the tab on the rocker, busting it and ruining the rigidity of the mudflap area of the front fenders, and they put the arms on the weak boxed portion, folding and bending it in. What the fuck kind of dipshit mechanic roughs up the clients car? I know I don't have a $500,000 car, but neither can I afford one, and when I have nice low milage things, I'd like to keep them nice. What so hard about showing respect for the people that pay your fucking salary?

sucks man, shit like this is exactly why I do my own work.

I guess it's a lesson learned the hard way, you going to go back and see them about it?

no point. Sure it's very near A1, but the plan was in the spring the whole interior is gonna be passed onto a proper v8, manual car. The badges will be saved, and maybe swap the rear lights with the project. Then i'm gonna flat black it, throw in some e46 seats in it and hand it down to my sister as her DD. It's gonna live on as a mechanically A1 car...

Just getting a bad review out is enough. It's not like they will pay me back anyway...

it doesnt matter if its a 100$ car or 500 000$. The cars underbody was mint. Why is an incompetent mechanic allowed to walk away from ruining whats important to us and we do everything to keep it perfect? Its pretty simple what this guy told them. Lift from the frame rails.

perso jai fait balancé mes roues là a quelques reprises et a chaque fois c'étais a rebalancé parce que c'étais mal fait (leurs appareils ils les calibrent pas ou quoi ??) jsuis allé chez costco pis vraiment moin cher et leur machines ont de l'allure et jamais eu d'autres trouble de vibrations, ils voulais meme me vendre d'autre rims en disant qu'ils étais croche (NEUF MAIS CROCHE eh ben .... SA ARRIVE ) lol
 
Le monde qui dise que c'est pas grave parce que c'est un vieux char LOL j'aimerais ça voir quelqu'un briser vos choses et vous dire que c'est pas grave parce que c'est vieux.

Y'a 2 ans je m'étais acheté un civic et il y avait un petit spot de rouille dans l'aile fack j'ai été le faire enlever, surprise quand je suis aller chercher le char le gars avait fait une vrai job de cochon et ma donné comme excuse: c'est pas grave tsé c'est juste un civic a 2000$ sa sert a rien de faire une belle job la dessus.

Y'a probablement payer le même prix que quelqu'un avec un char de l'année pour faire changer ses pneus d'hiver je vois pas pourquoi il mériterait un service de marde parce que y'a un char de 1991.
 
mon frere est aller acheter des replique de mags bmw au mois d avril avec des pneus d ete.

les Mecano de FCP installe les nouveau mags et il lui redonne les mags d origine de la voiture dans des sac. mon frere prend pas la penne de verifier la condition des mags jusqu’au mois de novembre pour mettre c pneu d hiver quand il les sort du sac les center caps d origine de mags son plus la. Il appel FCP leur explique le problem et lui donne un rendez-vous pour lui installer des nouveau center caps. rendue chez FCP il voulait lui installer des replique au lieu des originales.

Mon frere a commencer a perdre patience et le gars de FCP et aller faire un tour dans le garage et il revenue 5 minutes plus tard avec les pieces d origine un peut user.

Mon frere crois quil est aller les enlever a une autre BMW quil avait dans le garage ( surment a un autre client ) mais il est pas certain.


P.S je voulait faire un post sur se qui est arriver a mon frere ici au mois de novembre mais pas eu le temp. sa t'aurai surment aider dans ton choix. C une place a eviter
 
V'la longtemps j'avais fait installer des tires dans un garage de marde. Le gars a faillit jacker mon char par le centre en dessous de la porte direct sur le rocker la ou ya aucun renfort. Une chance que je les prit sur le fait....mon rocker serait toute bossé sinon.

j'suis allé a une nouvelle place pour faire poser mes pneus d'hiver sur la Fiesta

le gars y'a enlevé les poids qui a à l'intérieur du mag en mettant le mag face au sol, a pieds joints SUR LE MAG ACCOTÉ AU SOL y tirait sur le plomb avec des pinces... ca c'est pas si pire le mag est pas scratché fiou
apres ya poppé le center cap Ford avec un marteau... ca la faite peler la peinture du mag... la le contour du center cap est toute fucké

en enlevant le vieux pneu, ya mal graissé sa machine... y'a faite une scratch parfaitement ronde sur le toute le tour des 4 mag

dans sa job y'a marqué que les mags etaient tous les 4 scratché deja... ce qui est TOTALEMENT faux
le gars se justifiait que sa machine coutait 20 000$ pis que c'etait impossible que stait lui qui avait faite ca

vous allez me dire que cé juste une Fiesta avec des mags Ford d'origine... ben moi ca m'fais chier... je les trouvais beaux, jleur faisais attention et la y sont toute maganés

croyez moi que prochaine fois, je prend des photos de la roue avant de le rentrer dans le garage
