Back in the MINI family

Hi motorers,

I used to be a fellow MINI owner (for 7 years!) when I decided to sell my beloved MCS for a 335i.

Roughly 2 years later, I decided to sell it and go back to my favourite brand! A few days ago, I took delivery of a 2012 Countryman S All4. So far, I love the ride quality, the All4 awd system (used to drive a X-Drive 335i and honestly, the awd system is not my kind of power distribution system... 30-70 front-rear ratio is not well-suited for Quebec's winters!)

It's a real blast to drive through snow storms and has enough room for me, so far! It has the following options:

-All4 AWD
-Sunroof
-Bench seats
-Rain sensor
-Heated mirrors
-Automatic Climate Control
-Chrome Line Exterior & Interior
-Auto-dimming mirror
-Bluetooth & iPod Adaptor
-6-speed auto
-Xenon with adaptive lights
-Tinted windows
-Outmotoring Stubby antenna

Here are a few pics of my little MCS, 335i, and new MINI!

You went from a 335 MSport to a Countryman with no sport pack and an auto tranny? Come on, man!

Thanks for the comments... I really like my MINI-SUV lol

The 335 was really fun to drive but its engine was full of problems from day 1... 4 injectors and a turbo later, I decided to sell it. I didn't do too much mods engine-wise (ECU remap and intakes). It really is a fast car, and a blast to drive.

The Countryman is different for sure... It lacks roughly 200hp from my previous car, but I am a MINI fanatic. It has personality and a "culture" around it that makes it fun to drive, in all situations. The 335's suspension (H&R with Bilstein) was very rough on our roads. The Sport package on the Countryman makes it handle differently and I wanted something smooth... It also lowers the suspension by 1inch which it a big no-no for a Countryman... I was looking for a smoother ride. Auto vs manual comes down to what you are looking for... Modern auto transmissions are completely different from shitty ones made 10-15 years ago!

Basically, 2 great cars, with 2 differents personalities...

I'm not knocking the car, I love MINIs, but a sport pack and a manual tranny are mandatory on all MINIs!
