pfft what's with all the non-rare cars in this thread? everyone here has a ugly mercedes or stupid ferrari anyway.....

That's actually me in the Ferrari FF, I had a roof rack with snowboards earlier this winter! :D

I would buy a FF in a heartbeat if I had the funds. I see the excitement of a black series but not for me and not on our streets. I would get the new M6 as a GT Coupe or Porsche 911 and call it a day for the streets of Quebec.

I must admit. The black series is difficult to drive on the streets of Montreal. But god damn is it fun!
To the haters, no problem!
To the admirers, thanks!
To the enthusiasts who know about this car, it's nice to see knowledgable people on this forum in the Mercedes Benz world!

You'll see me rolling around Montreal in this beast quite often this summer!
I know it's very rare in Canada, especially Montreal, so if you see me in it, I'll always stop and let you guys check it out
Because I'm also a huge car fanatic, and it's not every day you get to see this black series!
We also have a CLK 63 black series in the states. That car is one of the best I've ever driven!

^^ Si tout les propriétaires d'exotique serais aussi compréhensible envers les amateurs de voitures!

De faire un tumbs up a un vieux farts en Ferrari pis qui t'ignore totalement..

How fast is the SL65 BS VS the others cars in your family collection... ?! :p

Well, for the sports cars, the black series is a monster. It has too much power that one can simply not control. It's beautiful but it's like a wild bull that you just cannot tame.
The Ferrari 430 scuderia is a perfectly balanced track car and still performs wonderfully on the every day roads. I've not driven anything like the 430 scud. Its perfect. and sounds insane

The 575 maranello is a masterpiece of a car. The outside, inside and the way it drives great. It's smooth and a little bullet. Very classy car that you can drive everyday.
The ford GT is just raw american balanced power. Its a beast

I have not driven the F40 or the 512M because those are collector cars. The F40 is pretty much a work of art. It has a tubi exhaust and the thing sounds fuckin scary.

The CLK 63 black series is my favorite to drive because it's the perfect car. Looks menacing, it's really wide, it's extremely tight and takes corners like a champ, and it has the amazing 6.2L v8 that we all love.

The BMW z8 is a cool little convertible that you can take out any day of the week. It's got the old M5 engine and it's just such a rare car that it turns heads all the time!

other cars in the stable include a 2002 dodge viper GTS, 1996 porsche turbo, 1967 fully restored corvette stingray, 1972 jaguar e-type.

The daily drivers are 2010 S63, 2010 ML63, 2009 RR sport supercharged, 2012 range rover evoque coupe, 2012 c63 AMG (performance package)

doesn't really look any different ? you must be blind.

not hating on the car. It's a wonderful machine I'm sure. I can appreciate that it's a rare version, but it's a testament to excess:

to me, it's a bodykitted sl65amg with ~60 more hp and more torque. it's absolutely nuts as a car. but is it worth $120k, almost 70% more than the AMG version? sure it's a super rare version... but god damn, when is enough enough?

to the people with money, its never enough. but it begs the question: I mean honestly, for $300k, wouldn't you much rather a unique model, not some juiced up SL600 on roids? Something like MP4-12C or a Rollie, or CGT, or 458, etc.. Something that also doesn't share parts/namesake with a lower model ie:

I mean, if the Nissan GT-R came out with a 4-banger econobox version that didn't have the widebody and carbon brakes, and had a base starting of $30k and got 40mpg, wouldn't that just simply dilute the car's prestige?

It's like paying $100k for a Lancer EVOX FQ400, over 100% MORE for essentially the same car. Fuck that shit, that's retarded. Same exact case when comparing the Black vs AMG.

None the less, I'm just jelly.
