Inspection savvys, need some info please!

You can try and contest your inspection also. If they did not look your tires and fenders for any scraping marks, they're not right in their procedures.
There's nothing wrong in being low. What's mandatory is nothing bodywise must touch the ground and/or your tires, at any time. They can ask you to fully turn your steering wheel to inspect, but you have the right to refuse, which I encourage you to do so. If somehow they found some scrapping marks, they HAVE to ask you if there's a cause for that (ie: racing, different suspension setup at that time, etc.). If you provide them with a good reason, it's written in their procedures that they aren't aloud to give you an inspection for that, they must find something else that must be causing a risk for your (and the others) security. If nothing else is found, you're free to go.

Cops are often going the extra mile because there's not so many people aware of those things. I will try to find their suspension's inspection procedures and post it up here.
 
Some good info here, what about stretched tires and camber ? Could that be a big enough factor for them to send u to inspection?
 
I got pulled over last year with 4 negative camber by the sq and they were looking for tire wear and couldn't find any at all, and checked my tires and said it was ok.. I guess because I had a minimal amount of stretch but it was ok

FYI they will check the hole car , all lights , suspension parts and componets , any lights on in the dash like airbags abs ect ,the car fails , lose tie rods car fails , burned bulbs car fails and so on , so make sure everthing is good or it's gonna cost u a small fortune lol if u want more info you can pm me and I can help you out . I know I got slammed with 3 inspections in the last 3 summers :D

I forgot to mention they also gave my gf a verbal warning last night lol , They advised her that her muffler , smoked side markers and window tint was illegal and they had the balls to tell her that it makes a long time they wanted to pull her over for these modifications . I guess it pays off to have a pair of tits cause she didn't get any tickets or inspection hihihih

I also encourage everyone to at least print a copy of that guide and keep it in their car for when they get pulled over. It's a good reference wether or not the officer is doing it right or wrong.
 
Just a thought:

that document was published in 2006 and it says that it is subject to change according to jurisprudence.....has there been any cases since 2006 to change some of the info in there...?
