TheGreatOne's 40th Anniversary 370Z thread....

Yay

Picked up some barely used Motordyne ART Pipes V2

If you aren't familair with these, think Test Pipes with less rasp, deeper sound and "keeps" low end torque *tu*

Once I install these, I'll get an Uprev tune as I think I am done with breather mods for now.

Nice buy! Mine are on the way!

Does Our VQ members accept VG?:D Got to show some love to your father!
It is kind of lonely owning a VG.

Nothing new...well except that I bought an INGS+1 Lip (replica) from Nextmod (Nextmod peopel are awesome by the way!*tu*) Would have went authentic but not sure that it would last getting out of my condo parking lol...if it does, I might spend the $750 to get the CF version ..

Pics of the test fit soon

I did however get some cool rolling shots on the way to Napi last week :D

Small Update

- Finally got my ART pipes installed. Love them, low end torque is back and I can actually get the back loose in 2nd with VDC ON! lol, which is nice. :) I think I am getting some deceleration hiss though.

- Had the car Uprev tuned on Monday at Johnny's Motorsport's to get the mods working well together, car was running Rich for sure. We brought it down to 12.7 and advanced timing. He also did a few other things that now let me chirp the tires in 1st and 2nd, heck, he chirped it on the dyno which made me smile

This is the baseline...it was 222 TQ, nice and flat line, so torque everywhere....I went with 91 octane which was dumb, should have went with 94 to get the best possible tune. I'll have a few Maps, 91, 94, Valet (Car won't go above 3K) and a Launch Control which is nice for the drag strip.

Will go back with 94 and a cold car to see what my gains really were, after 3 hrs, car was heat soaked, even with letting it cool down for 30 minutes in- between. Also Mustang dyno is a little more stingy on numbers compared to a dynojet. I'm expecting another 15HP when I go back

Not much new

Haven't gone back for the re-tune yet, hopefully in 2 weeks, will post results.

Finally decided I will install the ING+1 Replica lip I got from NextMod, no mounting holes like most replica's so will need a little work. Anyone have good suggestions on a place? I really wish I got the authentic CF version but I couldn't justify the $750 on something I am 85% sure I will damage lol.

Should look like this! I think it will look good and complete my body mods

Also picked up a helmet for Time Attack from Perry Auto, should be going the 29th of July and hopefully a couple more times before the year is out (get my moneys worth) Did it once in the rain which sucked but I'm hooked.
