Ottawa man shot to death near Montreal

MONTREAL — The bullet-riddled corpse of a man linked to Ottawa’s organized crime scene was found dead in a Montreal suburb on Saturday.

The grisly settling of accounts led police to a condo in Brossard, on Montreal’s south shore, where detectives discovered the 32-year-old man in a garage after neighbours called police at around 11 p.m.

His name has not been released, but sources told QMI Agency he’s linked to crime syndicates in the nation’s capital.

Longueil police would only say the man is not a Quebec resident.

The victim was shot 10 times, mostly in the head, sources said.

“He was obviously dead,” Longeuil police spokesman Martin Simard said, adding it took police a long time to be able to identify the body.

Investigators hurried to the scene and spent the weekend trying to reconstruct the circumstances of the man’s death. Detectives also interviewed witnesses.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon. The investigation continues

Not the whole south shore but Brossard yes. I moved out of Brossard almost 3 years ago because I was fed up of the pot house busts, meth labs busts and Chinese guys beating their wifes in the street. Cops where on my street multiple times a week ("R" section) right beside where this latest shooting took place.

I put the for sale sign up the day after I came home from work and was greeted by 10 cop cars, 20 cops with guns drawn and crime scene tape around my building!
 
I was there at like 4 am on my way home and this bullshit caused them to close the last on ramp to the highway so I had to do a mega detour, fckn ghetto assholes take your shit back to mtl.

well, there was that shooting at BK a while back (some kids) in brossard as well, last summer there was a body found in a trunk at petro canada in candiac of all places.. Since those big houses (1-10 million) were built there, i guess it's attracting this crap.
Literally 5 mins from my house, I gas there sometimes and drove by the scene when it happened. ( tail end)
 
South Shore will be getting worst and worst. Many people from Montreal are moving to the shores and at the same time so do thieves and crooks.
