Once again, new car

Alright so after fighting and fighting with my EP3 and Honda's failed attempt at a Mcpherson suspension setup I decided to sell it. Had tire wear issues since the tie rods were too short, suspension issues with not being able to lower enough and noise caused by the pillowball mounts... annoying as fuck lol

So I picked up a 2004 Acura TSX

Pictures do not do any justice

After executing a few repairs I'm going to start this as a slow project over a period of at least 3 years (yes i want to keep this one longer than 1 year lol)

This summer I'm prioritizing fixing some of the issues first. Then I'm planing on a few things for this summer:

- BC Racing BR Type Coilovers with custom rates and shortened shock bodies
- Color match the grill trims that are currently black (ugly)
- Ingalls rear camber kit
- 2-step exterior detail

I will make this my slow build thread!

Comments and opinions are welcome

I had my EP3 alligned and front tires are wearing pretty normaly & I was lower than you so I don't know why you're saying this....also I don't have that noise caused by pillowball.

Your car was just badly alligned & on a suspension that doesn't go low with some weird bushing noise? lol..

Nice TSX tho, I totaly love those!

I went to FCP for the alignment, The tie rod ends were maxed out the the inner possible adjustment and I still had toe in. This is a common problem on the EP3's as well as the RSX (although the rsx is the opposite, they have toe out) Pillowball noise will come eventually, which is also a known noise for any pillowball top mount, once it gets worn in it will make noise.

As for suspension, I didn't want to buy megan coilovers, well because they're megan and I wasn't a fan of the Buddy Club N+ either due to the spring rates that were offered. These are the only 2 brands to my knowledge that go relatively low. So I bought racing logic coilovers with pillowball top mounts and camber plates, custom machined new lower profile lower mounts for the rear by Racing Logic themselves in Australia to get more low in the rear.

So no i don't believe that the car was badly aligned with a worn bushing, it was the car itself, the stock components just didn't have enough adjustability.

Thanks, I love the car so far!

Thats correct it is on OEM suspension!

I died lolllll

You was also running rsx coils on the EP3 yo

Same suspension, the only difference is that you need rsx tie rod ends since the rod is tapered and the EP3 is not and the rear bushing is larger for the RSX (which I got professionally machined to the proper specs for the EP3)

Many people run RSX suspension on the EP3 in fact the most popular is the RSX A-spec suspension that people modify as I mentioned above to fit the EP3 no questions asked.

Has nothing to do with alignment thats why they sell these:

Shorter tie rods to fix this problem

anyways now we are off topic lol

So why didnt you order those and solve your problem?

Because swapping tie rods is a bitch and doing it twice a year ontop of a suspension change wasn't appealing to me lol In addition, I was tired of only having 2 doors and the trunk was not big enough.

I really liked my Buddyclub N+s on the S2k :dunno:

Anyway, I loved your EP3 and I really like TSXs, I'm sure you'll make 'er nice!

Thanks man!

I was looking for particularly stiff rates and the N+ did not offer the rates I wanted, non the less I know lots of people who love them and i'm sure they're great!

Bel achat! J'adore les TSX et si elles étaient awd c'est ce que je conduirait.
