The What are you Wearing Tonight / Fashion Advice Thread

Just ordered these to go with my suits. A bit more "casual" but great for the summer:

I have 6 similar pairs, all of which I've worn once or less. I have no idea how you guys can casually wear these.

I'll be wearing them with my suits; usually I'd wear lace-ups for more formal events. The navy ones could prob work with shorts.

They can be worn casually with "dress" jeans or slim fit pants with a casual shirt or a polo.

I forget where I found them, but there is a pair of the same style in brown on "sale" online.... Saw them yesterday. Either browns, or Little Burgundy.

Thanks. I looked at Browns' website and they do have 2 or 3 very similar models, in brown suede, but they are $300+ :( Didn't see anything similar at Little Burgundy.

I just noticed the navy ones are on sale. So I pulled the trigger and ordered them. At that price, I can justify a pair of navy shoes :p I'm even tempted to get the red ones and attempt to dye them brown or burgundy.

never really looked into buying shoes online.. Roughly how much would I save on a pair?

Really depends. When I find that I need a new pair, I look on different online sites. Usually when I shop for clothing, I feel the need to get at least 3-4 things. If I find them in the US for cheaper, most of the time you save at least 30-40% plus free shipping to Freeport, so I pick up a bunch of stuff all at once.

Already that the Canadian retail is priced higher, and the dollar being a par, it's hard not to shop from the US when they have sales.

I bought some short shorts today, with two v-neck (the other one is grey).

Does it look bad with a shirt on? I don't think it looks bad nor great, but maybe too much early 90's...

Something dosn't fit there, either you change that salmon T for a plain white or you ditch the shirt, togheter they look kiddy...

Ot button up that shirt

Disregard colour obviously, I'm not dying my hair

Your hair are pretty dark, you must be careful to get some pomade or wax that has absulotely no gloss in it. But it' looks good, way better then the Spiky cute hat combo you posted earlier.

I don't know, I have long legs and I think I would look good in short shorts.

Luciano, where did you buy yours?

got mine at American Apparel, I never shop there tought I think that company is going down the drain, But I liked em.

Well you're now making it obvious that you're trolling in dressing ridiculously in circumstances that do not necessarily allow you to make a fashion statement.

lol dude, come on. There are barely no more «laws» in fashion/style currently, everything is permited more than ever. It's like saying you can't wear a Denim shirt with denim pants, I looked silly 1 year ago, now it's totally fashionable. Heck, I say in 6months a year we will see different plaid mathcing togheter...

You're absolutely right :s you have any brands to suggest? I need to get some asap

I use this. My hair is short, VERY thick, and Jet black. It's the only one I've tried that can hold my hair for a whole day, and not look sheen at all. And my hair is like a black car... If its dirty or wet you can tell right away, and this clay doesn't leave any visible residue if you use the proper amount. Any other pomade, wax or clay either doesn't hold my hair, or does have a sheen look to it, which I absolutely hate. I haven't used that many brands so far due to the fact that my hair is shaved & faded the majority of the time but I still recommend this. I just don't know how it will play out with long hair like yours.

Regular price at Walmart is about $5 I think I've seen it cheaper at around $3-4 sometimes.

Montreal is a shit hole when it comes to fashion. Pun in relation to the flood unrelated.

(videos)

LOL, you say I'm being "fashion forward" wearing a navy blue suit, and brown shoes and then you go posting runway videos? You do know that street style and runway fashion are two completely different things, right? Of course it's inspired by the runway, but more than half of the things on the runway would look ridiculous on anyone, except if you walk the streets of fashion gurus in big cities in Europe where the Sartorialist shoots them.

Also, have you been to any fashion events in Montreal? Of course we're behind, but there's a lot of beautiful (And beautifully dressed people) in Montreal. Just how America is late with European fashion, its even slower for us.

For everyone's style-sake in this thread, I really hope no one is listening to you. We need more people like Luciano in this thread.

For your friend, who I assume isn't into fashion, yes, it might've been fashion-forward as you said. Also as you said, I'm gay and runway fashion and starving teen boys is perfectly normal for me and quite common in my surroundings. I wouldn't have a problem with someone attending my wedding dressed that way but in most social circumstances, in a fashionably retarded place like Montreal, as you also said, wearing what you did at a formal event is unacceptable.

So there. :p

Also what I posted is barely runway fashion, Gucci is upscale casual and Alexander McQueen is chic freak fashion. This is runway fashion:

But some pieces are oh so classic. Look at his use of horizontal bars and the two black and white shirts he made. Exquisite.

I wish I could be on the runway and I wish I still had it in me to make clothes...

Now that's just Lady Gaga-designer territory. Of course that's not the same thing as Alex McQueen or Gucci. You're just all over the place.

I'd hate to see someone wear a navy suit to your wedding. OMG, imagine they wore a white suit.

My hair is very thick and black too (and grey obviously). I use 100% pure beeswax when my hair is short and KMS molding paste when my hair is longer.
