Faire du copy/past a la journée longue ca c'est être un morons

Anglos don't really support this uprising and historically they've never really stood up for anything in Quebec.

If Anglos really had balls the president of the INEXISTENT Anglo association would take advantage of the current international exposure Quebec is getting to have a few laws revised, French only schooling, Bill 101, etc.

Conclusion: Quebec Anglos don't have balls.

This is such a skewed response, and just dripping with the fact that you obviously have a bit of a chip on your shoulder. Maybe just for once, the issue should be segregated and addressed directly; why bring anglo/franco relations into this?

-Fact: Quebec has the lowest tuition rates in Canadian provinces. The proposed tuition hikes, while very high, would allign the province with the rest of the country. What bothers me is that no one seems to be focusing on the fact that there are no available documents clearly explaining how the proposed hike rate was calculated, what income this will bring, and exactly how this income will be spent; it's all just vague promises. The students are not doing themselves a favour; I paid a lot of money for schooling, I worked, and I know it's hard. This whole fiasco should be better organized, and focused on the key issues and points. In my day to day, I find very little vocal support for these people, and that's coming from anglos and native francos.

lol @ thinking being anglos or french has anything to do with how you see the conflict...

Fuck the anglophone, fuck the student, fuck the governement and fuck the french also

lol @ english people supporting the government. English people are probably the wisest because they realize both the students and the government are fucking morons.

You spelled ignorant wrong. It's mind boggling how people can still classify today's events as student protests.

You have to know that a majority of frenchie's think that way to.

ya i know, i <3 educated french people.

You spelled ignorant wrong. It's mind boggling how people can still classify today's events as student protests.

they started with kids wanting more than they could afford, then the government used the crisis to get more power over free speech, now both sides are being even more ignorant than the original hippies that started protesting.

We also have high taxes and comparatively low salaries.

1- i bring anglo/franco relations into this because they're relevant. Name me one English school that voted for the strike.

2- fine, align the tuition costs with the rest of the country, then also align the income tax level and pst, until then your argument is invalid.

3- in fact, and i did'nt want to bring race into this, asians are also against the strike for some reason. Maybe because it reminds them of their home country...

4- i'm fairly confident that even if the so called student conflict was to end, the casserole protest would not. charest's political career is probably over and if hes not careful he'll bring the PLQ down with him.

most of these students are suppose to be ''the intellectual future'' that would make the society progress but in the end most of them are just a bunch of stupid monkeys that are a shame to this society in this province.

I love MR... In one thread, people complain that the police use too much force, and in the next, people complain about the cop in this video, who IMO was very respectful and did his job well.

The old man's argument was shit tbh. I don't agree with pissing people off and blocking the road, but angry old people trying to tell the young generation how to live, while we're the ones that have to deal with the consequences of Charest's (and others') shitty governing and corruption, and what it's done to this province, in the years to come when we'll have kids of our own.

You see, cops like this piss me off.
He's basically telling them the only reason he'd like them to move is because they are not enough ppl to block the street, so it's dangerous for them.
Do your fucking job instead of giving them tips...

Well if anything I think the cop did an excellent job dispersing the crowd, he didn't use force or yelling, he just convinced them.. that's the best!

Seriously how is this considered "chewing out" protestors... just a generic comment from a grumpy old passer by.

So what do you want logik?

less services and less taxes??

There's plenty of money already, what I want is for the excessive waste to stop. Like the plan Nord, 40 billion to create 12,000 jobs? Just cut the workers a cheque lol

People complain that average joes make too much money, but then defend millionaires who vote themselves raises and bonuses.

The world is upside down.

No, I was talking about the university administrators.

As for the plan Nord, how is 300,000,000$ for a road that will only serve 1 mine an investment for the future?

lol that's a joke.

It's more than one mine. You think that cutting a check for a 300mil handout is better than creating infrastructure for thousands of jobs and valuable resources for decades to come? Pretty short sighted.

What's short sighted is that fact that we are giving away our resources. We are sitting on a gold mine here, companies should be investing their own money. They are getting billions in tax dollars, huge tax breaks and most of the jobs will be fly in/fly out which won't help build local economies, it'll destabilize them.
