Canadian Grand Prix Race day protest planned

And how much do you pay of your healthcare costs? Should we have charged 10,000$ to your mother when she gave birth to you?

The problem with Quebec is the previous generation got free education, free healthcare, low taxes, big inheritances, ultra cheap real estate, high paying jobs with great retirement plans and now we are fucking over today's students because our parents had the sweet life.

My dad still works 65hours a week to keep his company going.. It's not an easy ride if you want to be successful.

I pay 50% in taxs which some goes towards healthcare and when I want better service I go in the private sector and pay!
Stop crying. We don't liven the past so stop dwelling on it. Things aren't getting easier. So STFU and work harder...

yé hot ton père, yé tu riche en tabarnak?
Yes according to Revenue Quebec that never seems to get enough but not as much as before since he moved his company outside of Quebec just outside to Hawkesbury. He kept 2 out of 4 RBQ licenses and made divisions in Quebec for whatever work he does here. My parents are currently in the process of selling their wonderful 6500 sq ft home off island and they're already 100% moving to Ontario, Bainesville I believe... Many Quebecois are slowly migrating just over the line..

Yep you pay, pay and pay and get ZERO in return! You get sick and have to pay out of pocket for services because the provincial system caters to those who contribute nothing. The private medical insurance business in Canada is booming because of this. You have to hustle these days if you want to make money and be able to live. I work my ass off with one goal to retire comfortably.. But hey the govt says I should invest in the FTQ!

ouhhh tu payes 50% de taxes

Your parents made a good move. I would love to open a business in Hawksburry to avoid those Rev QC criminals. The provincial gov't is chasing all the rich ppl away and eventually this place will only be inhabited by bs mofos politicians and criminals.

Hawkesbury in the last few years has expanded rapidly.. Property is still cheap for now anyways even in the city center. While I wouldn't live in any of the small Ontario towns that border Quebec(Ottawa yes) they could still be used as a tax haven...

At the least I wouldn't mind having a warehouse and an adjoined office out there.

@hellyhans @gregster

WTF does my business have to do with this topic? I commented on my opinion, that's all! If you have an opinion of my competence, say it to my face,my coordinates are listed below.

Second off I do enjoy F1 and all motor sports and know a hell of alot about it. I'd just rather see corporate, right winged governments fall. Then see new parties and citizen groups take over and give back to the people. If protesting an F1 race helps...So be it!!

But you 2 little shits, don't see the big picture and would rather watch an F1 race, than potentially have a legitimate and fair government that throws the 1% in solitary for life.

As far as myself and my business is concerned... Ya I've made several mistakes, but I've NEVER lied, stole, or scammed anyone, ever!!!

P.S I hope they flood the yellow line.

Ryan

Its funny everyone is getting so mad but it seems like this event will be a failure. So far they have 700 people going. Relax its not gonna do much.

If anything expect the protests to be planned closer to the date but know this. I am fore-seeing someone getting VERY hurt this weekend through the protests and not from the police side. There have been some chats happening on what resto and bar owners will be doing this weekend and I can promise you when clubs gross high 6 figures in 4 days, they WILL be making sure to beat anything out of their way to make that money.

I was full expecting the army to be here for F1 weekend as well.

What makes me laugh, is that these students keep screaming about how it isn't for them, but for future students, blah blah blah. I am a father of 3, and my children are going to be those future students. Right now, even after the tuition hike, we will still be the place with the cheapest university education in North America. I for one, agree with the tuition hike. I want my children to work for what they have. We never fully appreciate the things which are given to us, but if we have to work for them, we sure as hell remember the blood, sweat and tears we put in to getting them.

I also agree with paying our disgusting taxes. In Quebec, we want everything handed to us, healthcare; education and all forms of social service, but scream to the heavens if we have to pay for it. Don't get me wrong, it hurts to watch (near as makes no difference) half my salary be ripped away by the government, but when I, or my family get sick I am more than happy to take advantage of the system that money pays for. In this province, new mothers get a year off work (the rest of the county they only get 6 months at best), we have government supplied long and short term disability, cheapest public transit in Canada (even if it sucks, and feels expensive for WHAT we get), $7/day daycare, no-fault insurance (try and insure a car in ontario and see how much cheaper it is here), I could keep going but you get the idea. We may pay more taxes than other provinces, but we get more than those provinces. Less taxes= less social services.

Anyways, I'm finished my rant... I just want to finish with a big F-U to the dumb shits that are going to mess with one of the biggest earning (for the whole city) events/festivals this city has. Maybe the city should keep tuition the way it is, but add up how much these protests have cost the city and divide it amongst all the students. Everyone wins, government will come out ahead financially, students wont have a hike to complain about, and everyone who has been screwed over by the protests gets to see all these little shits cry when they see how much their stupid shenanigans have cost them.

If I offended anyone.../shrug

This calls for "Wing attack PLAN R" If you get the reference, good, if not.. well let's just say that things are going to get BAD for a certain group, very quickly.

I am glad that I will be watching the race from the comfort of my friends house. I would of LOVED to gone to open door day but some people messed that up for us. Bloodshed is imminent... I said it.. IMMINENT!

What do you consider the previous generation (a generation is 10-years)? Last I checked, healthcare was still free and you always had to pay for higher education. You cannot blame the government for real estate prices, that is all market driven. Our parents did not have higher paying jobs, the poor vs. the rich always existed. What our parents had is less taxes, more opportunity, more job prospects because of manufacutring jobs.
This has all been destroyed because of greed & unions. They also worked longer hours on average, had less frivilous lives, smaller homes, less luxuries, etc...

You can blame unions and government for the "great retirement plans", this is the single biggest robbery of modern times and we are paying big $$$ for this. Corporations have a way out, Governments do not unless they take tough measures and cut pension plans. This is what I have been saying all along. CUT-CUT-CUT pension plans.

On parle seulement de la taxe provinciale.

Le 13% on Ontario c'est combiné.
