Old School NES gaming

Il me manque certains titres phares mais souvent ils valent 50-100$+, fuck it.

Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow motherfuckers! i make it a tradition to play old school games during the summer it keeps me young and brings back the good times when i didnt have to worry about nothing haha man i miss those days...this summer its first gen pokemon, last summer was old school zelda, next summer is undecided any suggestions ??

Here's some of my N64 games, a couple were left out of the pic though.

Wow, that game is worth like $300 bucks. No joke...

The one on the left is super mint. Complete copies of the game start at 500$ now.
The game was commercial flop and said to be one of the best SNES games.

The game is not rare, but it's very sought for.

I downloaded Earthbound. It seems to be a decent old school rpg, but the fights are a bit lame.

The fights are different, but that doesn't mean the game is boring.

In fact, the fighting system is pretty clever:
- When a battle is about to start, if the game knows you will win after the first round, you will auto-win the battle. Great for level grinding.
- When you defeat a boss or when you are too strong, the enemies in the area will run away from you.
- If you don't call your mother enough, you will get homesick, a negative status effect that cannot be cured.

I heard the story is great and the NPC dialog is hilarious. You will want to speak to everyone and hear what they have to say.
It has a diverse soundtrack too.

Check the Happy Video Game Nerd review I posted before, you will understand its history.
Earthbound (Mother in Japan) is a trilogy and we only got one game here (Mother 2) because Nintendo of America are assholes. =)

I was about to go buy a 3DS this weekend but I think I'm going to have to go to Bluenose and pick up a mint SNES with a couple games... miss it so much now that I've been reminded of Earthbound

The Mario Bros. 2 game that I bought still has the original bill.

Something like 87$!!!!

No wonder the financial situation of Nintendo changed drastically... that was a TON of money back then and they very near had a monopole.
