I'm sure all you drifting fans know the name Fredric Aasbo. You may, or may not know that he is a part of Team Need For Speed, and therefore a member of the Speedhunters.
Some of you may recall Vaughn Gittin JR's Mustang RTR-X which was a Speedhunters project.
This year, Fredric has been working on a project of his own. The 86X.
Fredric's idea is to cram the heart of a Supra into Toyota's new sports car. His goal is to have it done for Gatebil which is now just over a week away. The project started in early June, giving them about one month to completely build the car, and have it drift ready for the event.
Here you can see the beginnings of their rear-mounted radiator.
The 86X will have the master prototypes of the Rocket Bunny kit from TRA Kyoto.
As of the last update, the car is now fully caged.
The video shows the process of taking out the flat four, and slipping in the inline six.
