Stop driving your new 2013 1.6L Ford Escape now!

Was a good move by Ford to include such an engine in the line up. It's just a little embarrassing that this happened. But as it's often said, shit happens. Damn shame that the Escape never came with a manual transmission.

Not as good as the 240hp 270tq 2.0T that's also available.
 
The engine fire is due to faulty fuel lines that would break and therefore your car would go up in flames, pretty big problem i my books
 
It's simple.

If FORD tells its customers to STOP driving it IMMEDIATELY then you can assume they are not f*cking around and the problem is quite serious. They did that even if this will be a big deterrent for their sales.

They had a fuel line issue on the ranger in 2010 too...


I guess it's better than toyota who needs to be threatened by the american gov in order to recall anything major.

le probleme chez toyota etais derriere le volant!Sois la personne a fait une erreur de conduite,ou soie elle a mit trop de tapis un par-dessus les autre ce qui cause le probleme!

meme chez ford sa doit etre moin grave qu'on pense,des rappel,tout les constructeurs en ont!

It did come with a manual, i think it only stopped in 2011 with the new 6 speed automatic
