Sorry but the RSX is lame. swap done by a shop, not himself, 276hp in an econobox and still slow as fuck only able to do a 14 second pass... useless...

and before some of you guys start saying "look whose talking, you bought your truck already swapped and it's also slow as fuck" go read my threads where I discuss my plans to swap my own engine/trans.

not bright.
enough said.

I have to agree with everything Smoke said about supercars.

supercars IMO have to:

1) be very expensive. not 100k. Still expensive, but not VERY expensive.
2) be very fast. A lot of cars are that aren't supercars: ZR1, GTR, Porsches
3) Be exclusive.
4) look like a supercar.

I'm biased. But
everyone's saying so much love gone into the RSX, good quality build blabla.. The parts used may be good quality, however bringing a car to a garage paying someone to swap your car is not my idea of "love". Anyone can pay someone else to mod the car. Where is the learning curve in that? When you talk about the car do you say "I swapped it" or "It was swapped" Big difference IMO.

People like me spend hours in the garage grease up to our necks sweating like a mofo to make the car work day to day. Spending dozens of hours working on the car is bonding. I've learned so much, and can hardly think of something on the car I haven't touched at one time or another. On an 850 besides motor internal work (not equipped for that) there is nothing I dont know how to do. I'll probably never get COTM because people don't see it my way. From what I see here rims/coilovers/ebay aesthetics gets COTM everytime. Pas Fort.

Just today I spent 6 hours reupholstering the passenger seat, the electrics on the seat didnt work so I got a manual seat, and swapped the skins + foams over from the electric one. Its about a 15-20 pound weight reduction also because the old seat had 4 electric motors in it. Not everyone can say they have done that. Its not that it's hard to do, but most people wouldnt bother, just bolt in a new seat/ racing seat.

For my car, it's only time it takes me to do the work, but its' worth it, since I've built just about everything else, and I like to have a nice car to drive everyday.

lol Matt, et toi il est où ton swap? Ta voiture à du potentiel mais IMO t'es pas encore rendu la.

my car doesnt need a swap yet, like I said 282 000 kms, still going strong.
When that time comes....

I seem to recall one COTM that was a complete POS with cut springs, and was scrapped by the time the COTM thread was put up...

so by cotm logic..

people who pay money to have shit done for them > a real car guy
&
people who take a saturday to do a backyard slam job on a POS > a real car guy

You did your homework to try and insult me.. You must really want me not to win, haha I wasnt going to anyways!
The car's not perfect, I never said it was. It's old, but at least it's built by me. It doesnt have a pedobear sticker, it was a joke.
There is no missing molding. It's been replaced. My seats are in good condition, Ive shampooed them all.
Napa has multiple quality of parts, you get what you pay for. Napa sells brembo rotors if you want them.. The parts are not made by Napa, they are re labeled just like every other product in the world. They are very good quality, probably better than most other brands + have a better warranty, if I warp them somehow on the track, unbolt, bring them back, its just a smart decision.

I hope your cars perfect to be criticizing me like this.. What's your point?

In any case if you dont like.... Ask me if I care.

Back to topic guys.... please! ;)

I was actually gonna vote for AmericanMuscle cause I know him and his bro in law are real car guys who do fantastic work and are real passionate about what they do..... but I know Matt IRL, and I know he is just as passionate about his cars, and thorough in his work, so he got my vote..

I know it's Car of the month, but I will never vote for someone who isn't a real, full-on, 110% car guy.
