I'm biased. But
everyone's saying so much love gone into the RSX, good quality build blabla.. The parts used may be good quality, however bringing a car to a garage paying someone to swap your car is not my idea of "love". Anyone can pay someone else to mod the car. Where is the learning curve in that? When you talk about the car do you say "I swapped it" or "It was swapped" Big difference IMO.
People like me spend hours in the garage grease up to our necks sweating like a mofo to make the car work day to day. Spending dozens of hours working on the car is bonding. I've learned so much, and can hardly think of something on the car I haven't touched at one time or another. On an 850 besides motor internal work (not equipped for that) there is nothing I dont know how to do. I'll probably never get COTM because people don't see it my way. From what I see here rims/coilovers/ebay aesthetics gets COTM everytime. Pas Fort.
Just today I spent 6 hours reupholstering the passenger seat, the electrics on the seat didnt work so I got a manual seat, and swapped the skins + foams over from the electric one. Its about a 15-20 pound weight reduction also because the old seat had 4 electric motors in it. Not everyone can say they have done that. Its not that it's hard to do, but most people wouldnt bother, just bolt in a new seat/ racing seat.
For my car, it's only time it takes me to do the work, but its' worth it, since I've built just about everything else, and I like to have a nice car to drive everyday.
