IS350 = Secret sleeper?

any factory boosted car can make a lot more power with just simple mods.

You can make any car faster than any BMW out there. Hell, if I really wanted to, I could buy a Suzuki Swift and boost the shit out of it and it'll piss on M3's, Supras, STi's, Evo's. We're talking stock for stock.

J'ai vue ca assez souvent... true story hahaha :D

Interesting, I learn something new everyday. Are you on stock turbos? How's the reliability?
Been recently looking at a E36 or maybe E46 M3 as a daily driver since I store my ISF in winter. Been drooling at my older brother's new 535 with M package. Never actually considered an 135.

Automatic toyota with camry trim vs. 400whp with boltons ?33xxlbs? TT BMW... Ive only driven a 128i and i lovedddd it, cant even imagine a 135

Both Car &Driver and Road &Track got 13.5-13.7 with IS350s. Is that fast? Depends from where you stand but it's definitely faster than people think. It's pretty much on par with automatic 335s and faster than C350s. I love how people with E46 325s probably think their bimmer is faster cuz it's a bimmer and the other is a "bloated Lexus".

IS-F is a 12.8 car. Which is exactly the same as an E92 M3. Modded 135s sure can be faster, but if their faster than an IS-F they;re faster than an E92 M3. Question is, why would anyone spend 80K+ on an E92 M3, if they can get a 50K 135+ a few grand worth of mods and be faster than the M3 while still having the BMW badge?

This question has been going on for ages...

At the end of the day, it's always the same story....M3 owners enjoy de rawness of a V8 versus 135/335i owners that enjoy boost and low-end torque etc...

Exactly... I can def afford an E92 M3 but after driving it it didnt really turn me on due to the lack of torque. However an M3 will always be an M3.

Track wise i would for sure take the M3 because it is still a car engineered to perform both on the track and as a daily driver. I just PERSONALLY prefer the TQ/HP delivery that the 135 puts out.

You also have to keep in mind that the N54 is one of the best platforms created in the past few years and it is found in everything that has a 35 badge (135,335,535 etc...)

ps: with slight bolt on mods it is very easy to go into m3 territory both on track and in a straight line while still being relatively safe on the internals.

Just to add, a 135i with a JB4 WILL rape a ISF. I raced a 335i with a JB4 alone when I was at low boost (14lbs) and that thing was a fender in front of me just because it spools so fast. Raced a 996 turbo (415hp stock, ~3100lbs) with a few mods and a loud *ss exhaust, we were pretty much equal. Im sure a modded 996 turbo is much faster than an ISF given its much lighter and turbo, not to mention the mods on it.

IS 350 has nothing to do with the Camry, you're thinking of the 2011 and older ES 350 :p The 2012 ES 350 is actually an Avalon, LOL!

I doubt the guy only had JB4... most probably he had dual cone intakes and catless downpipes.

I had a pull against a white 997 turbo ant it had about half a car lenght in front of me and then it just kept on flying at some point. (consider the fact i have Jb4 + Dual cones + catless downpipes + meth injection and i was about 40% meth/water mix.)

^lol it was MTV. ask him I dont know hahah

^by no means is a low 13 second car slow......

Its not insanely fast, but its definitely fast.

Sure there are many cars faster, but come on, 95% of the cars you see everyday are slower than a low 13 sec. car.

Seems like today you don't have a fast car unless you have 400whp+

I shit you not I was in an IS-F and some of the trim is the EXACT same as my parent's Camry SE
