Hello's

A couple months ago I was on the hunt for a sporty car. Unsure of what I wanted, I steered towards Subaru's Wrx STi and since I used to own a VGA '07 Wrx I knew what I was going to get myself into.
One late night I decided to go Subaru in Levi in my gold automatic beater Cavalier to check out the STi's and as I was checking them out, I saw a yellow car glistening under the lights and I was in awe.

I knew it was a 370z and I never thought of owning one, but I loved it from the lines reminiscing to the 240z to the sharp styling front to back. However the price wasn't right so I went home to my laptop to locate a 370z in my price range. I saw a few for sale by owners but I couldn't get the interest rate I wanted so I had to steer away from owners and go to the dealerships. A week later I located one in my price range and it was Pearl White in Montreal. Drove 4 hours from work to all the way to the dealership in Montreal and I inspected 2 times, drove it for a good 30-35 minutes looked at the paperwork , found out it was imported from Texas and I got car proof proving it wasn't smashed.

So there was no rust, no hits, and it came with a damn good warranty so I was sold. Put a deposit on it and went back to pick it up a week later. I couldn't stand the stock shifter so I slapped in my Kartboy delrin shift knob

Next was the base radio... Not even a day of ownership I bought a Kenwood DDX319 and put it in myself in 2 hours.

First time I washed it the water was flat (not beading)and I hated it and the swirls were killing me... so next up was detailing so around 3am on a Saturday I decided to do the job.
I'm no pro but I still got the paint to look better and it beads when it rains so it's good for now.

Come to this week, I've changed the transmission oil for Redline MT-85 and the differential oil to Redline 75w90.
I have on order Swift Sport Spec-R springs and Black Vinyl for the roof. This winter I'll order wheels, exhaust and possibly a lip. I might even paint my headlights black and get a proper photoshoot later on.:p

very nice, i like the z34 in white. Is it the base or sport? Can't see the wheels so not sure.

Good choice on springs!

Was going to say join MontrealVQ but I see you wrote you drove 4hrs to get here lol.

It's just the Base model, no syncrorev match and no 19" rays. I knew since the beginning I would modify the car so I took what was only needed.
4hrs is nothing if it's worth it. I'm going to check out montrealvq.com

I hear ya there.

Cool, well ya, check it out...good info and we put together some nice meets, nice to have more Z's in the club.

And if you're not already on there. www.the370z.com is a forum you can't do without!

I'm actually pretty stoked to see other Z's and maybe find some inspiration for upgrades and whatever else there may be.

Its nice, but I would of spent a little more and opted for a head unit that had usb and Aux in the back so that you didn't have the ruin the clean look with wires coming out of the dash like that

Yeah, i should've shopped a bit more for headunits and I do agree that the wires take away from the cleanliness, soooo better luck next for me I guess haha.
It's sketchy to drive the car in the wash bay. The door's big enough but the crap that lines the walls is what freaks me out.

update

Well the vinyl I ordered got in this week. Applying vinyl is a bitch, I have a respect to anyone who does it for a job! It took me 2.5 hours.

Belle voitures, si tu veux quelqu'un de plus habile pour le detailing, ça va me faire plaisir, envoie moi un pm.

The Vinyl is a nice touch.

You should black out the Diffuser area or get the Evo-R Diffuser, I think that would look great on your Z

Whether it's this fall or spring i know for damn sure my car will get detailed by you cobrAAA. The swirls are killing me.
I'm actually going to black out the diffuser area after this bad weather passes by . Received my springs in but won't be installed until next week...

lip install

I met up with TheGreatOne and I bought his INGS replica lip. I got to work pretty quick to mount the lip.
Removed the bumper for an easier install, first thing was to fit it on with tape and drill the holes.

I had some satin black Krylon Fusion paint laying around so I gave it a few coats and let it dry while I picked up the nuts and bolts.

Krylon fusion paint can be handled in 15 minutes so the hour I gave it to dry was good enough to mount it to the bumper.
used 9 bolts with their accompanying nuts and washers.

once all done, I put everything back onto the 370z

Dude, you work fast!!!

It looks AMAZING, jealous right now but glad it went to a good home! Nice meeting you too. Honestly, I think its one of the cleanest and least bulky lips for the Z

Looks Awesome!

Swift Spring install & Clutch spring

Thursday night I had the garage all to myself and asked one of my buddies to help install my Swift Spec-R springs.

Turns out I can't fit the jacks under the car without 2x4's at all 4 corners...

Couple wobbly pops were involved to help us understand directions and much needed breaks.

The ride is a lot firmer and body roll has been greatly reduced thanks to the springs. It doesn't quite show but it has been lowered 1.25" front and1" rear. With new wheels it'll definitely fill out.

As some G37 and 370z owners know the clutch is hard to modulate with a high engagement point and small window to do so. This makes a few people look like they are learning to drive standard.
The cause to this problem was the Clutch "Helper" spring which makes the feeling of the pressure plate non existent and is very linear. Removing this spring helps with the feel of engagement however there's a dead pedal feel at the very tip top. Aftermarket springs fix that by putting in the lateral support needed to remove the dead pedal feel.

took around 10 minutes to do with a lot of swearing cause of the C clips involved.

Top Speed Auto Accessories is a relatively small company from Dallas and I read they have quality products so I shot them a few emails and boom 4 days later Fedex dropped off my Top Speed Pro1 catback exhaust.

There was one thing I didn't like in the interior it would be the white/grey stitching. I read on a Camaro forum that you can dye your stitching with an Elmer's paint pen but I couldn't find any but I found the next best thing.Sharpie came out with "Stained" last summer and for $17 tax in at WalMart it does the same job.

Completed the whole interior except for the seats in 1 hour as I might put in my old Bride Brix LE.
Lighting isn't great so i took only 1 pic.
