Putting out a feeler to sell my beater MR2 (5-speed 4A T-top car). Reason - looking to pick up a MA60 supra as a DD for practicality + winter drifting shenanigans.
Car is super red. Ttops and shades. 306k km, but it runs very well, no burning oil or anything.
Good stuff - She runs well. Tranny is good, no 5-th gear pop-out, smooth shifts. Has a short-shifter. Grant GT steering wheel I test-fitted to it (was meant for the 1.5), although that could use a spacer. Custom 2.5" exhaust with a dynomax muffler (single in, double out), padandwheels-style intake. Interior in great shape. Has a pioneer touch-screen with aux-in, usb, ipod, video input (for rearview cam, although a N64 could plug in haha), fittings for xm radio, bluetooth, and gps. 10" Pioneer sub with a 340w 4-channel amp, gives the stereo a bit of bump, but takes up most of the frunk. Stereo would be extra, not sure if I'm gonna sell with, or put it in the 1.5. Comes with 4 winter tires on 14" sawblades.
Negatives - cracked windshield. Car looks like crap (it is structurally all good though, just cosmetics), previous owner thought he was a pro fiberglasser so the rear left wheel arch looks like crap. front has no chin spoiler, valences are pretty dented. paint is faded. car only comes with winters (prev owner sold it with craptastic bald summers on some awful mags, I wound up spinning into a curb during a monsoon 2 weeks ago, I didn't get a chance to swap them prior). Needs a new rear-left control arm (have it, not much spare time though, what I do have I invest in the 1.5). Like I said, pretty much an ugly duckling.
Have a complete spare motor (spun crank bearing, otherwise good), transmission, ecu, and most of the wiring harness (I snipped off the plugs I needed for the 1.5 swap, everything else is untouched), as well as passenger-side axle, which I can throw in for a bit extra.
Thinking $1300 for the car (it's a running A-dub), with the motor and all the spare parts would be $1700, with the stereo $1950. This is, of course, if the Supra is good, if not I'll hang onto it and use my dads car when I need something practical. There is possibility for a partout as well, again, depends on how everything turns out. Will throw some pics up later on.
Feel free to shoot me a PM, je parle le francais aussi!
