Woman regularly blows by school bus in morning, gets caught!

I highly doubt she learned anything from this... :2guns:

Strong this. So many people like this in this world, it's disgusting.
Still, it's good to see that these things don't go unnoticed by the authorities.

I don't see how it's entrapment. It would be the same thing as calling in a drunk driver.

It's entrapment because the bus wasn't serving its usual purpose.

The bus is supposed to board the kids and get on its way. In the video, the bus didn't appear to be boarding kids, it was sitting there with the lights on, specifically waiting for her to drive by. That, is entrapment.

I'm in no way defending her, but who knows, maybe there's a back story to this, maybe the driver is a douche and busts this crazy lady's balls every morning by making her way a couple of minutes each time, and it escalated to the point that she's willing to drive over a sidewalk... It doesn't justify what she did, but if it's true she might have a case.

Ya I guess you're right.
Perfect example of why the justice system in North America sucks.

In quebec not stopping for a bus alone is:
"Failure to stop when approaching a school bus or minibus with its flashing lights in operation, or prohibited passing or meeting of such a vehicle" = 9 points!

Meh, don't forget this happened in the USA. If she sees this video, she can go to court, argue that this was entrapment, and she'll be off the hook for everything.

Hopefully she's not smart enough to do that, she deserve to get her license revoked for that.

Depends, if she was black, police officer probably shot her already anyway...

"Shena Hardin, 32, of Cleveland, who just didn't have time to stop for a school bus picking up a handicapped child on East 38th Street on Tuesday. Hardin's creative response was to keep going but to give the bus a nice, wide berth -- by driving on the sidewalk to get around it. Police, tipped by the bus driver, who had seen Hardin pull the same stunt repeatedly, were waiting for her."

"The driver's mother defended her daughter's driving saying she was in a hurry and East 38th Street was her fastest route."

apple, tree, yup

haha and she goes on the sidewalk! That's pretty illegal without a school bus there.

I bet she's the kind of person that parks crooked and like 2 inches from your car in a parking lot too.

pretty sure for entrapment the police needs to suggest or ask the person to break the law for entrapment to stick. In this case even if the bus was not picking people up nobody asked her to pass on the sidewalk_lol, she did it all on her own. if dateline is not entrapment this is not entrapment

That's what i think too. AFAIK entrapment is when police take advantage of a situation where you don't have much choice but to break the law. For example this case in Montreal last year or if the bus in this story had unnecessarily blocked that woman for many many minutes until she couldn't wait anymore. But she didn't even wait one minute. She just jumped the curb and drove straight on. Guilty as fuck.

In criminal law, entrapment is conduct by a law enforcement agent inducing a person to commit an offense that the person would otherwise have been unlikely to commit.

I don't see the cop inducing her to do what she did. Also supposedly she did it already did it so it is something she is likely to commit.

And another definition, which cannot be edited for the lulz:

The luring, by a police officer, of a person into committing a crime so that he may be prosecuted for it.

Just wondering: is there such a thing as dangerous driving in the States? Here it is called conduite dangereuse (which I believe is a CRIMINAL act)
