Thinking of doing something for my winter beater once I get one. Im not sure if I should try wraping it myself or plastidip it. Which one would last longer and be better for winter???

I wrapped my STI myself, it took around 20-30 hours, some with a friend, some alone.

When it was done, I was happy.

Would I do it again? Not a f****** chance.

You should Plasti dip it, you could apply that shit with your eyes closed in an afternoon.

you are nuts to wrap a winter beater. It takes hours and hours of work and the wrap is not cheap.
Plastidip is much cheaper and doesnt require much time.

man theres like 10000000 threads about this and another 10000 people on MR who sell plasti dip!!! guys, come on!!!!

Papp if you read this thread, did you see Lux Soldiers signature??

meh, for guys complaining, its a winter beater but ill keep it until it dies. As for the wrap well, I'll do it myself along with another of my buddies. Its more for a fact of actually doing it than anything really. Besides, I can get both for really cheap so why not do it?

wrap is far better. I plastidipped my old camry (last fall before anyone else was doing that shit, can you say hipster), and while it held up throught the winter, I will warn you that that stuff is a nightmare to clean. If the vinyl is roughly the same cost for you (where I work, PD is now $20/can, I can get for less but it's still not as cheap as it was last fall), I'd go with that because it will look far better, and last longer. Unless you want the ability to draw on your car with chalk, kinda cool, in which case PD mofucka!!!!!!
