I think a rolling shot would look best, like the one already there but maybe with a lot more cars like a picture from ultra ride or something.

Why just dont make one? a picture with all kinds of cars. Euro, Exotique, JDM etc... To represent each style.

I will be very surprised if anyone comes even close to what the banner is now.

I think this is a good idea.
Either that, or change the banner every month with the car of the month.
