An alert enthusiast in Madrid, Spain was quick enough to snap a picture of what looks like the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and send it to Autofacil. Caught staged during what appears to be a photo or video shoot, the reader, Victor Poza, wrote that after sundown the street was watered and the sedan was placed with a view of skyskrapers in the distance.

A few weeks ago, a camouflaged prototype was snapped at the Nürburgring, its face and sides mostly hidden. Poza's photo allows a glimpse of the single-piece headlights and the new upper and lower grille treatments – much cleaner and more expressive than the face of the current car. It looks like the AMG version gets a chromed lower element to set itself apart. And sure enough, the pontoon fenders have been retired to, well, wherever it is that pontoons live since it is no longer on the fenders of automobiles.

An intense refresh of the E-Class, at least one report has stated that all of the sheetmetal is new except for the roof and front doors. Underneath the skin will come more avant-garde gadgetry like the suspension that adjusts to the profile of the road based on the image provided by camera, and a night vision system that can detect pedestrians and animals. Inside is expected to be a greater use of leather, wood and metal.

Possibly the best looking MB car currently on the market, especially as a wagon. However, it does look like it is more than a simple facelift

Based on what we have seen in previous spy photos and the latest photo, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has received more than just a normal facelift. Instead it will receive extensive updates, including one-piece headlights with LEDs and bi-xenon, revised front grille and a new hood.

Also hinted at in the past few weeks is that the E63 AMG will be offered as standard with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and will produce 543 hp (405 kW) without an optional Performance Package. It will be capable of reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.

Ya but I want the new one... :p

ohh just way, I'm sure well be able to get it. Unlike Audi, MB gives us most of their nicest cars. If we can have access to the new E63 Wagon with AWD, I will totally buy that one after my studies

Man new Benzes look better and better, too bad they are unreliable pieces of shit. The worst out of Audi and BMW. Also, unless you get an AMG, engines suck shit.

if you live in 2001 yes. But since MB ditched chrysler, they keep getting better and better.

Bope, not quite sure. Two friends out of three have problems with their 09-10 C-Classes... Interior quality is by far worst out of all 3 Germans even tough the refreshed version kinda foxed that.
