The ONLY thing the supra has is looks...I'd get an N/A automatic for the sole purpose of it's looks.

I like the way it looks. But you can't say it's beautiful. Show an MKIV Supra and a MKI E-Type to a woman and see what she picks.

lol on what planet you guys are living. First, the supra IS a beautiful car, always has, always will. If you don't like the design, well tastes are personnal and to each their own, but as a general consensus, most car people think this car is very sexy.

Secondly, Joeyv you never heard about the amasing engine that turns the wheels on that car? 800whp on stock internals anyone? And the handling and braking is equally awesome. Mind you its a heavy car so it doesn't have the handling of a gocart. Still, this car is serious business performance wise, and thats why it became such an iconic car. I'd take one for performances purposes wayyyyyy over the look.

Most Supra owners choose the Supra for performance, not look. As newschooler said, 800whp on stock internals is great, but what is far more great is the $ / hp ratio. How hard is it to find a beautiful propulsion car that gets you to 600whp with 5000$ in bolt-on mods? Find a tt jdm for 12-13k and for a total of 18k you have an iconic sexy car with 600whp and be crowned king of your neighborhood, everyone will envy you, except these two clowns.

From 250whp stock TT to 600whp single turbo for 5k$, this means 14$ for each whp gained.
It is a 1490 kg car, this means 0.40 whp per kg.

As for the look, to each it's own tastes, but I've never met anyone who told me this car was not sexy as hell:

Oui Toyota a longtemps été plate après la Supra, mais Toyota à tout même quelques légendes dans sa ligne et d'autre verront le jour bientôt, j,en suis sûre. C'est le seul moyen pour eux d'aller chercher du marché.
 
Ca fait longtemps que je déteste toyota pour avoir tuer la supra et ne plus avoir de voiture sport. Mais avec la fr-s je pense que les choses on et vont changer. La fr-s stock est pas un monstre on s'entend, mais c'est un coupé sport propulsion équilibré. Juste le fait que ce soit un rwd est un win tant qu'a moi.

Je suis pret a donné une autre chance a toyota, et s'il peuvent faire un autre monstre comme la supra mk4, ca me fera oublier leurs lignup dangereusement ennuiant de la dernière décennie.
 
If the tC goes awd, could be interesting. But it would have to be turbo, obligatory. No v6 nonsense, and no superchargers.

If they bring back the supra, I think we can all agree that a) must have 6-cyl turbo, and b) stock block must hold 8-900 whp. No awd. No hybrid, unless maybe a KERS system of some sort

As far as mr2 goes, must be midship, obviously. And light, and relatively inexpensive (like ft86). Lfa development gave them those carbon-fibre weaving techniques, so making body panels out of the material is feasible... Would probably get a turbo variant of the az/ar engines, although the supercharged 2gr from the evora would be beast (maybe a halo car nsx/zr1 competitor if upcoming supra doesn't take the role?).


Still leaves two slots... Imagination running wild... Remember what clarkson said on the LFA, "this is what happens when you take the same people who made the Camry, and let them go wild" (or something along those lines)

frs a du potentiel mais y manque un ptit quelque chose !

ce ne sont pas des voitures parfaites, c'est certains, mais elles se démarquent et ont du potentiel. Compare-les à d'autres constructeurs, certains offrent mieux et d'autre offrent bien pire. Toyota n'est ni bon, ni mauvais en ce moment, mais au moins, ils développent et veulent, je crois, ouvrir un nouvel horizon et évoluer.

Bien sûr que la lFA n'est pas accessible et ridiculement cher, Toyota le savait "It is a wet dream". Mais c'est toute une prouesse d'ingénérie et on apprend beaucoup de ce genre de conception. Il ne faut pas uniquement regarder le produit LFA, il faut visualiser tout ce que cette voiture a pu leur apporter en savoir. La LFA est exceptionelle, salement exceptionelle.

C'est beau de rêver mais n'espère pas trop parce que tu va être déçu..

C'est sûr qu'il aurais pu faire un Tc turbo ou AWD ou les 2...mais sa l'aurais été pasmal plus cher, et si sa l'aurais été sa leur but, pense tu qu'il l'aurais pas faite.

Et je suis daccord avec toi pour les conditions qu'on espères tous dailleurs pour le ''supra comeback specs'', mais si il se vendais 85000$ a sa dernière année et qu'il le ressorte avec un 6 turbo et avec le même genre de potentiel qu'avant...pense tu vraiment qu'il vont le vendre 30k $ comme le fr-s lol un peu de logique svp..

I never discussed price. But it's reasonable to assume it's be close to the GTR. Doesn't necessarily make it a halo car though ;) I don't recall mentioning the supra would cost anywhere close to an frs either lol

en autant qui criss pas des moteurs plates dans des voitures sports. qu'on revienne au source: 1 moteur, 1 volant, 3 pédales, pis un siege de bonne qualité. pour le reste du fla-fla intérieur, on sen calisse.

Petit coeur.. Akio Toyoda (car guy et race driver) est président de la compagnie depuis seulement 2009, donne-y le temps! Il a commandé une 86 à Tada, il l'a eu, la il vient de lui commander une Supra, inquiète toi pas qu'il va l'avoir.
 
Quand toyota vont comprendre quil on juste a resortir les meme criss de plan que lancienne supra et juste la refaire pareil avec facelift pis dautre mags ! Eh bien il vont etre riche!! Getrag+ 2jz = monster!
