2 craters ( nid de poules) in laval exploded my 2 front tires. *Pics inside*

Late last night on my way to drop off my buddy home, I'm driving on St-Martin street in laval near Daniel Johnson when all of a sudden I hit the biggest and most ridiculous crater of my life. I blew up my 2 front tires, bent my 2 front wheels (which are forged and should be stronger) and might have blown 1 of my shocks on my coilovers. I was driving at 45-50km/h.

There are 2 big craters back to back; near the 2nd one we found close to 6 hubcaps from other cars. There was close to no lighting since they are fixing up the light poles.

Just want to tell you guys to be carefull and please avoid that area. I took load of pictures and videos and I'll be sending all of it to the city of laval.

I can't fucking believe they can't put an iron plate over that or just gravel to as least prevent shit like this happen. They did the same on the 20 to Quebec, I hit this shit at 120 km/h, lucky that didn't fuck up anything. This shit get me mad, Hope they will pay for your damage.

sucks, i dented my rim last month on the f'in highway 13! (not as bad as yours though).....go figure that one out
 
you can sue the city BTW. They don't take responsibility if it's only tire, but when it gets to blown suspension, oil pan damage and stuff, you can fight it in court.

I would certainly try it at "petites créances" for the max $3k... no need to lawyer then.
 
Wow, I'm not surprised, Daniel Johnson is pretty shitty too, especially after the centropolis! As Sessase said, can't believe they left it like that!
 
is it possible to sue the city ? this also happened to my friend

OP That sucks and I feel for ya.
Go After the Ville and make them pay. (may take you a while)
Looks like you have the proof that they left the road in shitty condition.

same here
Last Month on the 13 North after the airport tunnel in the fast lane.
They had taken the first layer of ashpalt and left a sewer sticking out
hit so hard the coffee went flying out of the holder and all over the car
I busted 2 mags and tires :cry:


I am so Glad I took the Road Hazzard insurance when I bought the car. (Did not have to pay a cent)
 
exact same kind of crater in st-hubert on a street near grande-allée. i really feel you bro, i'm sorry to hear this and i know it's fucking frustrating when it's not even your fault.
 
je l'ai frappé moi aussi avec le protégé tank à ma copine.. Une chance aucun dommage mais j'ai appele la ligne d'urgence de la ville et comme je peux voir, une semaine plus tard, rien n'a changé...

That really sucks tho, I'm always so paranoid when I see even a hint of a construction site. I drive like 30 until I know it's safe. But you shouldn't have to do that, it should be safe for the posted speed limit.
