Higher end Halogen bulbs tested by CR

I like silverstar ultras. I could tell you don't see farther, but it does light up a bit better. It's not as if we're talking hundreds in price difference. I rather spend the extra 20 bucks and be a bit safer.

i think the reason you see better is because they found the optimum gas temperature (Custom temperature) , instead of going by the charts for standard temeperature , for the bulbs to operate for maximum vision , that's about it.
 
why spend more than 10 bucks for two high powered halogen bulbs? I picked a whole bunch for under 5 bucks each in china lol!
probably the best bang for the buck for halogens.

Osram silverstars are one of the best especially for the price. They last about as long as any regular bulb.


Edit: Those are the regular osram bulbs^, probably last a little longer than the silverstar ones.

yes these are not knock off and real osram bulbs. These are rally competition and I have a set installed in my civic lol!
for 10 bucks two brand new halogen bulbs is a cheap upgrade.
these don't burn out in 6 months like the silverstar garbage and much brighter too.
 
speaking of ; I have 2 brand new osram h1 night breaker plus for sale. They are both still in package, needed hb1 and end up ordering h1. 30$ for both , pm if anyone is interested.
