Elegance Auto Detailing - 08 VW Rabbit - Silver Detail Pckg/touch-ups/"Dipped" badges
Been quite busy recently, so I don't have time to post all the jobs right away...sometimes I even forget to take pictures, like the after shots of the rock chips in this one...or of the job I did this Wednesday. Oh well.
This car belongs to an ex co-worker of mine who picked it up over the course of last summer. The same week, he brought it to me for a Bronze package to get it looking good for the summer season. He got back to me to have his rock chips taken care of as well as give the car a little bit more shine and personality. The car received my Silver Detail Package, and I fixed up the rock chips and Plasti-Dipped his badges.

At arrival, sorry this one is dark.
First wash.
Some wax still present from this summer, even after degreasing.
The rock chips to take care of.
Nasty scratch to be repaired on the driver side quarter panel.
And a smaller one on the passenger side quarter panel.
The bad part was the rust spot on the hatch.
I started be chipping off where there was bubbling, gently grinded down the rust and sanded down to almost all bare metal.
The thing that sucks about silver cars and touch up pens, is that the color never matches quite right. The finish wasn't so bad, and it looks much better than the rust spot, but still visible that it's not the right color.
Being in a corner, when the hatch is closed it isn't that bad and doesn't show a lot.
Pasenger side scratch filled, sanded and polished.
And on the driver side.
Paint after my paint cleaner system. Virtually no visible swirls left.
Then I taped up the badges front and back.
Sprayed the Plasti-Dip, let it dry and removed the tape.
I applied the wax before getting to removing the final Plasti-Dip shavings.
Final shots.
As always, thanks for looking and happy detailing!
