But that was relatively easy compared to changing the thermostat on the 1998 Sidekick by -30°C in the dark.
Oh, when I was a kid, like 17-18 years old I used to have a Capri RS Turbo and my best friend had a 1979 Fiat X 1/9 that was a POS and kept on breaking down (we used to call it FIAT: Fix It Again Tony, Tony was our mechanic...) so this one time circa 1989 we were leaving Bonaventure arena after a hockey game we had played and his FIAT wouldn't start.
Back then we were broke as shit so he didn't want to call a tow truck, we didn't have rope and by then it was like 1AM so no stores were open and what we did is that
he was driving his car and I was pushing him, doing like 70km/h on Cote De Liesse all the way to the Met, then east to his parents' house in Ahuntsic. He didn't have any heat, only headlights and fan to circulate air and not fog up but his OUTSIDE window still got frosted and he couldn't see. We didn't have cell phones back then either so it was tricky for him to drive his car.
We're both still alive and well, no accidents were had, no children were harmed and no police report was filed. Today the 17 year old peeps I see driving around like they own a cap factory would crash tragically into, and set fire to an orphanage or puppy refuge.
