meh. I haven't personally seen any at the meets. But something tells me this conversation won't go anywhere since we're not in concurrence.
 
definitely a cool car but I can think of a lot of better ways to spend 31k than on a 1993 escort

yes I know its a cosworth and yes it's really cool

Europeans Ford Escort were way better than their american counterpart.

Hell, one of the best rally cars of its time was the Ford Escort RS MK II in the 70s!
 
Awesome car! Overpriced? Of course, thats cause its so rare. This car will barely depreciate if you can maintain it, unlike the "Dart". Comparing it with early gt-r's is not a strecth.. sure its has less power but its lighter. I would compare it to early WRX's too.
 
This "Escort" RS is infact not an Escort, but a Sierra Cosworth with the exterior panels of an Escort. 31K is expeeze as FFFUUU!!! But given the choice between this and a Dodge dart, I'd drive a 20 Year old Escort any day of the week lol.

wow 31k$ ....... i rather buy a fully forged evolution or STi lol mais j'imagine la rareté va avec le prix, je ne pense pas que quelqu'un soit assez hardcore pour ce char , au quebec, pour l'acheter. honnêtement. À 31k$ ta une 911, plein de sport cars de benz, audi , bmw , jaguar , subaru , misubishi ... lol
 
You have to understand that someone who would buy that car wouldn't be in the market for a car around $30k and then settle on that.

And whoever buys it wouldn't use it as a daily driver either, although you could and it would be great.


It's a legendary rally car that's nowhere near what a regular Escort is. If I had a buttload of money I would pick it up for fun. Would be sick having that in your garage.
 
your saying "just an escort" but in reality it had nothing in common with an escort except similarly shaped body panels.
And another thing, don't forget this car is easily a 500hp car with some mods.

relax a bit. ya it is rare, ya it is somewhat an iconic car and i had the chance to be in it as a kid many times and liked it a lot.

but still , you have to be plain dumb to buy this over a nice m3, and sti, evo for the same money
