10k budget: decent choice advice

10k Budget I would go for TSX or Something TDI. Not AWD, but economical, reliable and good interior.

Who needs logic when you've got swag?

I was somewhat srs though, gen2 are pretty nice, good Eco, quick, decent space, and better than most fwd in snow.

If you want something more conventional, an A4 or x-drive 3 series could work well, since the new 3's arrived, the e46/92 are both dropping in price. Saab is also pretty good.

I still don't see how a rwd car with no traction control is at all better than a car with fwd with traction control. I mean I'm all for your own opinion on the subject. But since we're just naming some useless options for the op. might as well buy a snowmobile. I hear they're great in the winter. Might not be street legal or possible to drive in the summer but fuck it. Yolo brah swag fuck it you're on one

Because fwd drivetrain at the back, gives benefits of both fwd (weight on drive wheels) and rwd (can have fun when you want). Traction control isn't needed if you're not some granny that only knows full gas or nothing, and use proper snow tires instead of no-seasons. Compared to some fwd open-diff "sport sedan", the only drawback is no back-seats and therefore less luggage space.

Forgot that mr2 is rear mounted engine. But still. I don't think it would be anywhere near the top of the list of best cars for winter.

If gas mileage is important to you, stay away from Subaru. I have a 2002 Impreza Outback non turbo, and I can barely get 400-450km to a tank. This car is also very well maintained with only 80 000km.
