so i had one of my trucks stolen from me about 2 years ago and we found it in the walmart parking lot in kirkland with the driver who purchased it from the thief "unknowingly"

so we finally won the truck back in court and now im trying to register the damn thing but the cops never gave me the new vin numbers. so im sitting her stroking myself with a truck that cant be register for a couple of months until the pigs send me some new vins right on the verge of winter.

any ideas on how i can speed up the process or even maybe get a vin made for me temporarily? ive never gone down this road before and dont know what to do. the only option at the moment is wait and im not the most patient person

somebody else got this problem on MR couple months ago ... he ended up trashing the car, cops refused to give him new VIN number for no reason.

Maybe go to saaq or call whichever place you went to to get new vins issued. Explain that you need it for work in the meantime and see if something can be figured out.
It's worth a try if anything

Mainly they're asking me for a police report and cuz the guy that stole the truck is still going trough trial I can't access the police report and therefore can't apply for a new vin

The police report should be available through the access law.

buy other truck for cheap with good vins, place vins on dash, forget old truck

unless of course it's a recent model that is not available at a low enough price for this to be viable

Caning your own car lol... Not the first time I've heard of it either

Question for the OP though.. 2 years is a long time. Did the insurance pay you out? If so why did you bother getting the old truck back? Just seems like a giant hassle for nothing

I'm also curious what happened to the guy that bought the stolen car in th first place..dosent the saaq know the car is stolen, how would they let someone plate a stolen car?

Truck wasn't insured. Riding dirty

The thief basically switched the vins on the truck so it was sold with my body but a different trucks vin.

Seriously.... I hope your joking right now...

Nope I'm very serious. In a world where people sell drugs and kill people you're telling me there's not one crooked person who can scratch a few letters and numbers in a piece of metal and make it look legit.

If not then I have a business idea
