This car belongs to a returning client who took advantage of the winter prep promotion Nico and I had going on. Unfortunately, a reschedule was needed because of time constraints, so it was done December 11th. Here's how this one went down.
Products used:
Washing
Sunlight + Zep's Citrus Degreaser
AutoGlym Active Insect Remover
AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover
AutoGlym Engine and Machine Cleaner
Various wash mitts, sponges and brushes
Stoner's Invisible Glass
Riccardo Blue Clay
Elegance Waterless Wash
Elegance Clay Lube
Diablo Wheel Cleaner
Iron-X
Steam cleaner
Protection
Collinite #845
Wolf's Body Wrap (wheels)
303 Aerospace Protectant
Chemical Guys New Car Smell
Here's how it arrived.
Started with the interior. A good vacuuming was needed.
After.
The on to the exterior. Started with the wheels.
In reference to THIS THREAD, I went ahead and bought myself the Dial'N'Spray from Canadian Tire as a temporary replacement for my foam cannon while my pressure washer is out for repair. As you can see,it does a pretty decent job considering it's $15 price tag.
On to chemical iron decontamination.
The owner recently had the car in at the dealership and they shot a lot of grease behind the mirrors to lubricate the motors and sliders. What they forgot about is that the grease would leak and cause staining and streaks. I used a steamer to get in there and melt the grease and rinse it out as much as possible. I kept going until it was leaking clear water.
Then I moved on to claying the car. It was in pretty decent shape and not much was picked up.
Then I waxed the car and sealed the wheels while the wax cured.
After shots.
As always, thanks for looking and happy detailing!
