Car Crash: 1,200hp AMS Alpha Nissan GT-R Wrecked in Brazil

A fatal accident happened last Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 37-year-old driver of a Nissan GT-R had been driving down Atlantic Avenue with his 24-year-old passenger Munich Angeloni. The accident killed the passenger and placed the driver in hospital with a critical condition.

Internet rumours suggest that the GT-R in question had completed a 1,200hp AMS Alpha conversion recently. Sao Paulo is home to the only South American tuning shop to carry official AMS dealership status so the claim is entirely plausible. Its thought that the car had standard rims and standard road tyres, causing the back end to step out under heavy acceleration.

the only thing you can see is an AMS intercooler and looks like some kind of aftermarket air filter as well, the car is notstock but we cant tell for sure it was a complete Alpha

It's the AMS induction kit, come part of the Alpha 9 kit and above, but can still be purchased separately for a little $2300.

Also, this GTR has the AMS Race FMIC, used for GTR with 900+ HP, meaning it could very well be the Alpha 12 kit installed. There's no point in putting a $4k intercooler on a car that doesn't need it.

Also, how can you tell it has stock brakes? Maybe it has the $20k Stillen brake upgrade, which consist of only discs and pads.

As for the tires, there's not much better tires for this car available. Unless you go with a square setup Michelin PSS with 285s.
 
Even with upgraded brakes and tires doesn't mean you can't loose control.

Needs upgraded driver skills.

#2 the tires are oem street tires and one of the best.You expected him to be on slicks or something??

Quad rotors with 32 pistons in front and 345 racing.slick
 
i dunno about brakes or tires . but when you dont have a roll cage in your 1200hp car - its means you runing to die !!!!!!!!
 
Nimporte quel char avec 1200hp naura jamais assez de brake et de tire pour braker kan il est au fond ! Personne connait lhistoire au complet !
